Gotta stick up for ben500 here. He wasn't referring to woman who find themselves in this situation but to YOUNG girls who think 'hey, I'll have a baby to get a house!' And yes, a lot of them do still think like that:rolleyes:The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

And can I say...................
Child Support Agency forced to pay back wrongly accused men
David Hencke, Westminster correspondent
Monday November 28, 2005
The Guardian
The Child Support Agency has had to refund hundreds of thousands of pounds in maintenance payments to more than 3,000 men after DNA tests revealed that they had been wrongly named by mothers in paternity suits. One in six men who took a DNA test to challenge claims by women that they were the fathers of their children were cleared by the results, according to official figures disclosed by the agency.
So, it isn't a minority of cases. It is happening and to sit there and codemn someone because they have found themselves in this position, to me, isn't very nice and I can understand why they are lashing out. Their life has just fallen apart:(The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

They may have been wrongly accused, but thankfully the CSA can use DNA in sorting out disputes concering paternity.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.

yeah but if a woman states that a man is the father then so be it. They have to pay money. It isn't right. The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

But that clearly is not the case if a man is unsure about whether or not he is the father to any child then he has a right to dispute this claim. Once paternity is sorted out either the man is the father and he will have to carry on supporting the child in question. If he is not the father and proved by DNA then this man is entitled to get back all the money he has paid and i would imagine that would be the end of it for that particular person.
Yes it is a complete nightmare that some women may suggest that a man is the father and it turns out that infact he is not, but let's be honest here the man must have had $ex with the woman before she could make this allegation. Understandbly this causes everyone involved a lot of stress and heart aches but is it not better knowing one way or another when disputing paternity?Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.

yes, it is better knowing, but, it isn't right that men out there do not know that they are fathers to children therefore are denied the right to bond with their child until later in life:(The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

Totally agree!! but there are many NRP out there who know exactly about having a son/daughter and are quiet happy to pretend they do not exist.
So in both cases the innocent child is the one who loses out not the PWC/NRPHit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.

Topics like these will always have a variety of answers some people agree some others disagree......they will most certainly be emotional, many of us responding to these sort of threads have had 1st hand experience of these issues.
But just because we have different views doesn't mean we don't understand or don't respect the views of others, because IMHO this is not the case.
Our children will always be the most important people in our lifes and nothing will ever change that!
I appreciate it must be hard for new b/f and new g/f, but the PWC/NRP is not always as bad as they have been made out to be. In an ideal world we could all sit down and discuss contact, financial help etc but in some circumstances we can't.
Our priority should be the kids that we took into this world. The CSA has always had bad press, both from NRP/PWC but we should not let issues regarding money take over.
How do you explain to a child that a mother/father infact wants nothing to do with you
because it would totally break my heart if i found out that one of my parent's didn't want to know me.
Anyway..............that's just my little take.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.
