I've taken-up-for-Lent making sure I get at least 5 a day, so I've been photographing my grub and Instagramming them. They do look lovely, though I say so myself

IF I have lunch i try to make it fish based, sardines, tuna, kippers, salmon, mackeral, tinned or fresh, on toast, in pasta, as a dip , in a sandwich
That way I get my oily fish quota each weekWe had carrot sticks and pitta bread cut in strips, with hummus to dunk them in. Tomorrow I am having a ham and cheese sammidge, and OH has got ham and chutney sammidge, with the chutney that he really likes but I'm not so keen on.
Actually I'm not sure there's much point me posting in this thread, nearly all my posts will involve sandwiches!
Suki, I have quite a lot of fish to use so may have to do likewise and CupOfChai, if you can come up with some lovely ideas for sandwich fillings that would be great. My own tend to vary very little and sometimes I promise I'll copy some of those I see in the shops but I never seem to...

Er, thanks, but I'm not sure my sandwiches are all that lovely and varied! I'll post what we have each day and some other ideas as well if I think of any? Hope any of that helps inspire you at least.
Today OH had cheese and chutney sandwich, and I had the spare portion of quiche and salad from last night's tea. Tomorrow I'm thinking of making a frittata as we're both in for lunch, and I've not done one in a while.0 -
We will be having something totally boring today for lunch-ham salad sandwiches, with a piece of fruit.
I need to have a look over this thread and find other exciting ideas i think!0 -
I made a vat of chicken stock this morning, so we will have this soup and these dumplings for lunch, followed by fruit. I don't have matzo meal but I toasted sliced white bread, dried it completely in the oven and blitzed it thoroughly. Seems to work just as well.
Just what we need before going out to see the parades.
Happy St Patrick's Day!I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
