Evening :hello:
((((((((anniestar))))))))
Well I went to look at the dining-room chairs, and have decided that the cream leather ones are definitely the way to go - despite the extra cost- they are much more comfortable than the wood veneer ones, especially as the surface is less slippery! Think I've persuaded my dad to come over at the weekend to help me collect them and hopefully also put a coat rack up on my hallway wall (assuming I can find one I like before then!) That will be my "furnishing the flat" budget GONE. I could still do with a rug for the living room, storage for the bathroom and some artwork for the walls, but those are things I can pick up over time, when I have spare cash.
Now, I'm going to make butternut squash soup and have something nice to drink... hmmm, perhaps some bubbly... no reason why I shouldn't give myself a romantic Valentine treat, after all nobody else is going toOperation Get in Shape

anniestar wrote:Keth, what you say is correct I know you are right. Thank you. You know its funny, DH & I were talking about you on the way home with the trolley(we went past the Lowry and I was telling him about you going there) then came back to post my thanks on freecycle and knew it was you offering the printer as soon as I saw it. Went running upstairs yelling I know someone on freecycle and made DH come downstairs to read your post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( I don't get out much you see!!) Small world eh? Have a good evening everybody.
*falls over laughing*.. thats quite okay sweetie.. and yes! it is a small world

Crazychik wrote:(((hugs anniestar))) It not nice when we lose someone so close to us, especialy on a day like today. I hate my birthday's, as my grandad died on that day. Usually I take the day off work, and spend an hour at the crem, but this yr, Ive chosen to go to work. It will be hard, and I'll be no good to anyone! If I find it difficult, I will come home. Kethry is right - we must remember the good times we shared!
Running late tonight with the evening chores, just cant get motivated.
Must go and run the bath shortly
Have a good night
Take care
Love Emma xxx
I know what you mean Easter is hard for me as that is when DD2 died and then two days later I was taken into hospital in a horrid isolation room all alone for all of Easter. It was holiday so the test results took an extra three days to come back. Easter has never been the same.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -

Hi everyone.
I'm a bit late posting today as I've had a busy day (early) springcleaning, changing beds, getting haircut, ebaying etc.
Well my Valentine gift was DH returning safely home from his trip and then taking the kids out on a bike ride and bathing them later on. I have missed him even though it's only been 3 days.
We had a lovely chilli for our tea and I even made some corn bread to go with it. I haven't had this since we went fo Florida last year and I'd forgotten how nice it is.
Have a good evening everyone.0 -
evening everyone. Just popped in to say I hope those of you that were doing nice things for Valentines day had a lovely time, and hugs to those of you that are feeling poorly or in need.

Oh dear I am so sorry, My nanna too died on Easter Monday, 2 yrs ago.
Any other day I think I could handle it better, but when they fall on special occasions, you remember it more!
My thoughts will be with you. xxxHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
evening all and hugs to those who need them - especially those feeling poorly and those of you remembering loved ones.
left my shopping list at home so ended up having egg chips and beans for tea as i'm hopeless at improvisation
exdh - will he never go home - is ribbing me cos i said the arsenal game would be dull after all the build-up. annoying cos he's watching on telly and i'm listening on the personal radio which is a bit behind so his groans, yelps and cheers are spoiling the ending for me - oh shame arsenal have scored. :T :T :T i'm neutral really but exdh wants bolton to win.
am having a row with the afterschool club because i enquired about whether i would still have to pay for the two weeks dd would have off after her surgery. I am told that i do have to pay to keep her place open which i can understand but the reason given is that she is having "elective" surgery (ahem grommets and adenoids are not the same as a new boob job imho) as opposed to having a disease. I don't mind paying as it's budgeted for but i can't understand the differentiation. what do you guys think?
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
