We are another household thar dont celebrate valentines day DH tells me he loves me every day and I hate feeling as though I "have to" do something on a particular day.(am not a kill joy honest) I am not mad keen on today to be honest as this day would have been the birthday of my best friend. She was so wonderful, like a second mum, sister and best friend all rolled into one.She was great when we got married and we had such fun trying on veils headresses and such like, she came in the car with me and made so special. Have a good day everybody. Special birthday wishes to bargain babe.

Afternoon all, another busy day, unfortunately college lecture tonight os had to finish my assignment this morning which took 3 hours :( then had to go straight down for computer course, so OS is almost non existant for us today. My lovely sisters come up trumps last minute and is having the boys for me so we can both attend the lecture (both me and DP studying for same degree, they forget to mention tutorials until last minute!) childcare is usually a nightmare anyway, but Valentines Day makes that even worse.

Happy Birthday Bargain Babe :D Would have been both of my boys birthdays today if they had been born on the right day (yes both were de Valenties Day), but like they say babies can't read books/don't know when they are mean't to be born..

Oh yes, Happy Valentines Day to you all :) no celebrations here either, no gifts/cards etc but prefer to be told I am loved every day.

Hope everyone is well, hopefully catch up later
One day I might be more organised...........

Not had chance to read more than the first few posts here today.

Kyle - things sound so much more positive for you. Glad you had a heart to heart sweatheart.

Sorry haven't got much further with the posts so hope you are all OK and hugs to those who need them.

Went out for a couple of hours today to Dunelm Mill as I needed new curtain hooks and some new bedding. Went for some Cookie hamster stuff and got home absolutely shattered. Obviously still not as well as I thought. However, cleared out airing cupboard and have phoned a charity pick-up service for 2 huge bags of rather faded (but still OK) bedding and towels. They were so grateful.

Going to DDs tomorrow for a couple of days so she can look after me. I can't believe how badly this thing has affected me. I can't remember being so poorly apart from after my hysterectomy but that was just having to let nature take its course.

DD went broadband last night and has put her first online order in to Mr T. Any tips I can give her about free delivery, extra points would be most welcome.

Will keep in touch (albeit patchy).

    Love to you all

PS Dunelm Mill had a scarf knitting set today which looked rather nice but at £7.99 for the yarn and pattern, thought it a bit pricey. It was a silky type yarn but the pattern did look nice. Sure you OSrs will know of cheaper alternatives.

Math I saw that "never did me any harm" - I loved the old "wagon" they had, I remember we used to a light blue one!
    Enjoy your mea later.

ebay sales was very poor. Never mind, will re-list at the week end,

    OH just started the curry!
Will iron work clothes for tomorrow in a bit.

Well done taplady for getting a cheaper quote. My OH always uses confused.com.

Finally got my mobile account sorted out. After being re-stricted for long for what I can & cant use, due to a miss payment in Aug 2005, I rang em & told em I wanted to leave.Cos I was paying for a service I wasnt fully getting. They offered me a new phone, (no extra contract) credit my account with a months free rental, and upgraded to all the wam bam facilites. :T So I will stay for a while longer & see how it goes, after all Ive been with them for 8yrs now.

Right, catch you later, must getting some washing done (again)
    Take care

:grouphug: anniestar.. remember her how she would want to be remembered, and live your life to the max. if she was that wonderful, then that's what she'd want: for you to go on and make the most of your life.

on another note: i actually saw that kitchen trolley on freecycle and was thinking of going for it.. if you see the one getting rid of the humongous laser printer on the same group.. thats me!!!

Just had a very quick flip through the rest of the posts but my brain not really absorbing info very well.

Moggins - keep us updated with Tom and Gerry!

Re Valentine's day - we have never done it as we feel we should be loved up any day of the year. However, our first date was 36 years ago today! DD has just phoned to say that her Dad has asked her to buy me a big bunch of flowers for when I go over tomorrow. He didn't get them delivered today (he is now away for 3 weeks) as he felt it would be a rip-off! Aaaaaaaaawh!

    Love and hugs to all.
