Hi all, loving the snow stories! Could someone throw a snowball for me as all we have is rain?

Managed a totally unexpected NSD 3 yesterday. Went to a gig in the evening but tickets had been bought and paid for last year. Parked for free and avoided the bar in the hope that the babysitter didn't finish the wine and we were in luck!

DH bought a switch to fix a lamp today so I'm going to count that as a spend as it came from the household budget. Wow, how strict am I all of a sudden! :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a safe time of it tomorrow all of you with icy roads.

  • Finally I'm back on the nsd wagon and I'm declaring #3 for today. Not too much snow here so we ventured out to Mr S for groceries, and OH paid (as predicted).
Just hoping it doesn't freeze tonight, our street gets terrible in ice and I need to be out by half seven tomorrow with the kids in the car.
Thanks to everyone involved with running and updating this. Helps keep me on the straight and narrow.

Yesterday wasn't a NSD for me, but I only spent £2 having a cup of tea and a scone with a friend :) I also bought my monthly craft magazines (£8.98) but the lovely girl at WH Smiths let me pay with a book token, so they were FREEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully today will be a NSD, as I need to get my 5 in a row going somehow :D

3 NSDs here; 1 for Thu and 2 this weekend.

Still off with anexity and depression here....got to return to the docs next Weds for another note. My anxiety attacks are still frequent, but the sickness element where I would throw up has stopped for the time being.

Oh dear TwelveStops - so sorry to hear you are struggling ATM. Sounds like you are making tiny steps of progress though, keep posting here if it helps......we are all here for support if you need us!

    :(

Jinty - I vowed after I cleaned the oven last time I would get it done professionally in future. I know some people who've had it done and recommend it, plus I had a slight accident with Oven Pride stripping the nickel plated oven handle which had to be replaced and ended up being a rather costly DIY clean. Plus, I hate cleaning the oven, I don't splash out on much compared to some so I figure it's one extravagance I am prepared to pay for. :)

I totally agree Kerri - I loathe cleaning the oven too. I've never had it done professionally though and I am sorely tempted. I checked out Groupon , but the offer wasnt in our area. I'm signed up to Groupon but for some reason I dont get the daily alert.

I felt so good having paid off a loan this morning, and then got told about a whole load more money I owe which knocked me down again. Haven't got the heart to update my sig yet with the updated totals :(

    ....

Oh, Katy, what a bu**er - still, chin up - you've got rid of one debt so you are still ahead of the game and should be proud of yourself. BTW, I wouldnt count the last instalment of a debt as a spend, it's not as if you've frittered it away mindlessly, more like a "planned" spend in my book!HTH!:A
