  • I bagged #3 today.

I've decided to frame a poster-sized map of the London Underground - it'll be my birthday present to myself :o.I bought it a few years ago and had previously decided that it was too big to frame, but had a change of heart.Anyway,by chance I've discovered the London Transport Museum's website,a minefield of spending opportunities.

I love the underground. I am quite fascinated by the ghost stations that exist. Apparently a train stopped at one (a wait stop, not to let people off) that had not been used for 20 years a few years ago and the doors opened one man got off and he was stranded for three days until a driver saw his cigarette lighter as he sped by . The whole thing is such a feat of engineering.

What a fascinating story-the poor man.I saw a few books on the underground that I'd like to read....It is a great feat of engineering,as you say.Did you see the TV programme about the Tube last week?

I've reached #4 today.Work today was not too chaotic for a Monday. We all met the new professor as well.

It was -16°c at 6 o'clock this morning.I still did the forty minute walk to work.;)Is that madness?Mind you when I got home at 5,it was a balmy -10°c,so mustn't grumble.I took a lot of stale bread from work to feed the birds in the park.:)

yasmin well done on decreasing your debt!

    Hi purpleorchid and welcome!:hello:

Hope you all have a good evening.

    Hi all.
Quote: ModestyB – Woo Hoo you got NSD #3.:T I’ll come with you to a murder mystery weekend, that’s on my ‘bucket list’ ;) Quote

Sorry Freeby, yesterday was no. 2 but I got No 3 today.
The murder mystery offer is on again today. It's £99 for an overnight stay at a Birmingham hotel for two people. I'd love to go as one of the days offered is near my birthday but, as DH keeps reminding me, we have the two pups now and can't go anywhere. Good job I love them to bits!
Hugs to all who need them.
