Hi all,
Hope everyone OK, will try and catch up on thread now.
1st NSD for me please for this month, need to get this ball rolling if I'm to hit the targetSantander 0% £1,529.94
Sainsbury's 0% £4,371.31
Total 0% £5,901.25
AIM: Pay off debt & simultaneously save for deposit to buy a house by Oct 2020.
Mar Challenge: Stay within groceries & eating out budget.0 -
I can't see this being a NSD sadly. A walk to work (slower than normal for obvious reasons) and tucking into supplies at work aside, I need to get to a pals in Greenwich later for a training session
He's trying to get a one man band type business off the ground as a personal strength trainer (and best of luck to him says I) and he's trying to use me as a bit of a project/experiment type thing. Basically he trains me for free (either at his drum or a studio he's renting) and I basically act as case study, along the lines of "This is where you can be in 12 weeks with me" kind of thing
Either way, if I go I'll top up the Oyster a fair whack, so I don't need to worry about top-ups if I travel around the capital at any point later in the month. If he cries off, its an NSD, either way I'm a winner![STRIKE]PDL1 £1020.88/£1020.88[/STRIKE]P2P £1274.60/£1537.63 PDL2 £175/£350 PDL3 0/£259 PDL4 £189.77/£503.92 PDL5 0/£194.25 Cd1 £987.20/£1000 Cd2 £725.38/£750 Cd3 £286.69/£300[STRIKE]Zebra £325.80/£325.80[/STRIKE]CF £398.85/£1305 OD £793.37#321 TOTAL £3735.63/£8639.85 by 1/4/13Clear by April Fools for being a Fool, falling back into old ways0 -
First NSD of the month for me today... at long last...
More exciting for me was the fact that my Sainsbury's debt went from 4 figures (£1001) to 3 figures (£984) as my DD was paid!!! Does that make me a really sad person lol..Debt outstanding [STRIKE]£3491.[/STRIKE] £3303

:hello:Hi purpleorchid and welcome to the NSD challenge, great to have you on board.
We'll be along later to welcome you properly and add you to the front page but, in the meantime, pull up a chair, make yourself at home and join in the chat. We're a friendly bunch if a little insane at times:D
Good luck witth getting your NSDs this month, you can do it

On a positive note I went ice skating on Saturday with my new Skates! They were very nice and far more comfortable than the hire ones!
Hope everyone is keeping warm and managing to keep their money in their pockets better than me!
Great news about the skates, blindtoast, glad they were comfy:T
Well done for your NSD, be proud of it and good luck for today

Oh, Katy, what a bu**er - still, chin up - you've got rid of one debt so you are still ahead of the game and should be proud of yourself. BTW, I wouldnt count the last instalment of a debt as a spend, it's not as if you've frittered it away mindlessly, more like a "planned" spend in my book!HTH!:A
Thanks Jintyb, I am trying to look at it as a positive. And I WILL get round to updating my sig with the extra debt on at some point!!
I wouldn't have counted paying off the debt, but because I spent on that I decided it was a spendy day anyway and celebrated by going to dog training class which cost £2, so I still can't get away with classing it as a NSD!
I did the same today too. Was supposed to be going to Zumba tonight which would have cost £4 so decided as it was a spendy day I would get my milk that could have waited until tomorrow. Now Zumba is cancelled and so I have ruined another NSD!!
Tomorrow has to be a NSD now as I have increased my target!!0 -
Another NSD here as i have only ventured out to do the school runs, managed that safely enough then nearly broke my leg putting some food out in the back garden for the birds sliding splits with arms waving in the air aint a very good look for me :rotfl::eek:.
Looks like i will be having a few spend days this week need some birthday cards (4) and have a night out planned for Sat (not been out since mid Dec so am looking forward to it), on the plus side DD gave me the £5 she owed me so that will pay for the cards :rotfl::rotfl:have 2 friends birthdays this month (pressies bought in jan sales) and also my nieces birthday. My weekly shop will start tomorrow (free lift to help pick party food up) so will combine both.

I've decided to frame a poster-sized map of the London Underground - it'll be my birthday present to myself.I bought it a few years ago and had previously decided that it was too big to frame, but had a change of heart.Anyway,by chance I've discovered the London Transport Museum's website,a minefield of spending opportunities.
I love the underground. I am quite fascinated by the ghost stations that exist. Apparently a train stopped at one (a wait stop, not to let people off) that had not been used for 20 years a few years ago and the doors opened one man got off and he was stranded for three days until a driver saw his cigarette lighter as he sped by . The whole thing is such a feat of engineering.First NSD of the month for me today... at long last...

I don't think this is sad...it's a massive milestone :T well done!
Yesterday was NSD 2 for me today isn't one as we had to do the liquid gold thing...prices have gone up again . The thing is that it is cheaper for me to drive 7 miles to work and park than it is to get the bus....madness!
Anyway I hope you are all having a good Monday!

Ohhh myyyy, pages to catch up on!:D
Beeping 'tinternet has been playing up and is really slow - when it's not chucking me off every few mins:mad:. Anyway, hope I haven't missed anyone but suspect I will have:o
Zafiro pants to the central heating, hope you get something sorted. I remember the days of trailing to the fields to break the horses/donkeys water buckets several times a day only too well.....
Kerri cat radiators beds ... tried them & neither of mine even tried it:mad: They seem to prefer either the wee house beds (£2.99 in Home Bar*gains) or an old pillow with a fleecy blanket over in the shower tray (where the hot water pipes run underneath;))
Welcome to Poppy and Elly2 and Hi to Purple ...LMH hope you've recovered from the sledgiing incident - ouch! mytimetoshine congrats on the job!:D and Yasmin for getting under the 4 figure mark:T Katy pants to the loan (((hugs))) and one for twelvestopsthenhome too .....If I thought the cat on skis was fab - but the guy being chased by the cow if just brilliant!:D
So ..... Edinburgh coffee was unfortunately postponed due to the bad weather - no snow here but had rained really hard most of Sat and froze solid and it was like a stating rink out:(. We'll get it reorganised for the next few weeks and hopefully it'll be a bit warmer!:)
Spent most of Sat in the garage getting my tyres sorted & then the geometry had gone "wonky" (female explaination for something that I have no idea about - I was quoted figures of -1 and +2 and 5 and 7 which meant nothing:o) so that was another £140 paid out in total:eek: so feeling a bit broke now:(.
So, finally managed No 2 today - which is pants given it's the 6th... may be struggling this month....Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
