I love the underground. I am quite fascinated by the ghost stations that exist. Apparently a train stopped at one (a wait stop, not to let people off) that had not been used for 20 years a few years ago and the doors opened one man got off and he was stranded for three days until a driver saw his cigarette lighter as he sped by . The whole thing is such a feat of engineering.
I don't think this is sad...it's a massive milestone :T well done!

I love the underground too, I think it's fascinating to think of all the different people who have stood on the same platform over the decades. Sadly not all nice thoughts at stations, still get shivvers going down those massive escalators at Kings Cross and thinking about those poor people trapped in the fire
On a nicer not, I used to love going through Mornington Crescent when that was closed - really eerie. What other ghost stations are there?rising_from_the_ashes wrote: »
Kerri cat radiators beds ... tried them & neither of mine even tried it:mad: They seem to prefer either the wee house beds (£2.99 in Home Bar*gains) or an old pillow with a fleecy blanket over in the shower tray (where the hot water pipes run underneath;))
Thanks Rising - one of puds current fave places is in the dining room sleeping on top of the radiator cover in there. She used to have a pyramid house bed thing, didn't use it a lot but then peed on it extensivly when we put her in a cattery (one we no longer use, she always came out of there totally stressed) They said 'oh sorry, she peed on her pyramid a bit' handed it back to me - it was sodden, and stank  went straight in the dustbin. She does have a fleecy blanket but has stopped using it atm, seems to like moving about diff places.
Sorry, waffling, actually dropped in to say NSD #4 in the bag :j go me this month :T I've even been good, writing up a list of things I need to get this week (b'day card fo bro and such) so I can try and do it all on one or two days. Plus noting down things on a shopping list for the weekend - I'm so organised I'm scaring myself :A:rotfl::rotfl:
Icy down here tonight as snow's been melting all day so no inclination to even head out the office today (even though I was wearing my snowboots) - in fact don't think i've been into the town since last wed :eek:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Phew! My plan worked, by declaring early that today would be a NSD and thanks to a colleague bringing in cookies to celebrate his birthday, my mid-morning urge to have something sweet which might have lead me to raid the chocolate machine in the office was satisfied, it has been
Wonder if I can do the same tomorrow, although we are getting dangerously low on fruit (again!!). My bank balance is certainly enjoying the new NSD regime!
So I'm at NSD 4 already, hoorah!0 -
Just a quick one from me tonight, I'm not feeling well at all today. Took a tumble down the stairs yesterday and am stiff as a board today. Ow.
nsd #3 today. Nearly blew it and went to Mr S after I picked my new phone up, but remembered how badly I'm doing with nsd's this month, and that I'm trying for 4 in a row.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

No direct debits today, so I refused to let myself go to the shops....... which takes me up to NSD #4
Mind, I have spent the bulk of this afternoon compiling a biiiiiig shopping list to be followed at Mr T on Friday (after my PT session), as I got my clubc@rd vouchers this morning which include a £10 off a £70 spend (which equates to a lot of free food).
And as that will mean a spend of £60+ I'll then get a voucher for 10p/litre off fuel at the petrol station, which is one of the cheapest in the area as well as the only one I'm ever in the immediate vicinity of - well worth getting even if I have to fill up before 18th/19th, which would be my ideal dates as I've currently still got half a tank (from 30th Dec) but will be going to DDs on 17th to collect Aimee Rose who I'm having overnight before taking her back on 18th (so using about another 20 litres).
I'm actually still short of £57 at the moment - but I still have an Easter Egg to add to it which should get me over the £60 mark. "Just" another £10 worth of stuff to find that I have space to store and don't already have loads of in storage.......Cheryl0
