Hello, NSD 3 for me, hoorah! Too blooming cold to go out
  • Ouch LMH, that sounds painful but a lot of fun:D

I think you may well get on a sledge at some point by the sounds of it, I think you'll be fighting the kids for another go:D:rotfl:
    Have fun x :)

Ha ha spoon - you were right, I had to have a little go as the kids built a ramp to sledge over - it was brilliant! Didn't help my coccyx though ;):rotfl::cool:

  • Hi all NSD 4 today. Got cabin fever today as OH is here as well and he normally goes out. Like my Sundays being lazy with the kids. Tryingto catch up with the household jobs i normally have no time for but this going terrible at the moment as i keep looking for distractions. Snow here is thawing and i have my fingers crossed it will be gone for tomorrow as i have to take the kids to nursery and school.

As spoon already said, no need to apologise and thanks for joining the update team
Ha ha! Love it! Wonder what he did to annoy it, he's not wearing red. :rotfl:
Freeby, I also think you're doing a wonderful job with the updates.
As for the breadmaker, I used it last night and the bread has turned out lovely. Only problem is the paddle being baked into the loaf, which is probably why they got rid of it. If you don't mind a hole in the bottom of the loaf, it's worth getting one.
I'm declaring NSD No 2 today. I'm getting it in early so I absolutely cannot buy a deal off groupon. They've got a murder/mystery offer on that I would love but he-who-must-be-obeyed says no. 'Sob'
Lots of warm hugs to everyone.

Hya everyone, been AWOL for a few days, but nabbed NSD#3 yesterday and NSD#4 today. :j

Almost got one on Friday, but had to top up on liquid gold ...but that was the only spend. The other car passed it's MOT, but not paid for it yet, probably Monday! Much better than we thought it would be, despite the mini not starting a few times. Unable to find out what's wrong, so DH has charged up the jump-starter, just in case!!

Had a fair bit of snow yesterday and had to do a bit of travelling in it, but home all day today. All the snow has gone here, but still bitterly cold...not venturing out today if I can help it.

Going to do some sewing later, really inspired by my workshop yesterday. :)

Spending tomorrow - online Mr T as well as some other shopping. Hopefully this spendy day will help me grab a number of NSDs the rest of the week. ;)

Have a good week everyone...and a special thanks to all the updaters, you all do a wonderful job!!! xxx :T:T:T:T

Good afternoon Spoon and the Update Team! Staggering in (because I am full of roast beef and rice pud) to report that today makes 5 sooper dooper NSDs!!!!

Talking of sooper dooper, local greengrocer was chuntering about the tomatoes going soft the other day, so I bought a bagful for half price and made some fabulous creamy, herby tomato soup, enough for about 2 lunches for the 3 of us for less than £1.50 (including onions and other ingredients). Also got some sweet potatoes and made a spicy root soup, enough for several big bowlsful. Soups now stashed in freezer ready for use. Today's roast beef was part of a lazy roast dinner - got a half price lump of beef from the local Co-op a few weeks back, cooked it, had half for lunch, sliced off some for sarnies and the rest was sliced and packed in gravy in the freezer. Hoicked it out on Friday, warmed it up today whilst roast spuds, Yorkies and veg were cooking. Rice pud dessert was Mr S Basics, two tins heated up with a bit of nutmeg, butter and extra sweetener. Nice, cheap and easy (like me????) Well, I is a hard-working Nargle, and sometimes a day off the sloggus domesticus is what the doctor ordered.

Mr T online shop due tomorrow, but one or two NSDs are lurking on the horizon so I had best get my net ready....
