Just popped by to say that yet again today wont be a NSD as I have spent £100 on....
CLEARING A DEBT!! Finally paid off the installments for the car I had before this one, now to start on paying this one off! Oh well, one debt down so I don't mind sacrificing a NSDOnly problem is, I now feel like celebrating! Might take dog to his class this afternoon, so that will be another £2 plus £10 subs for the year to pay. Will be money well spent though as he LOVES the snow, and will hopefully learn some manners at the same time as having a good play!
Have a great snowy Sunday everyoneBeing nosey now, what's a degu ?:D
Thanks for the welcome. they are a rat chinchilla cross i think (origanate from chilie and are very cute little furries) my DD got 3 last year 2 females and 1 male who was sold to us as nuetered sadly he wasnt we found a shock litter on xmas eve and sadly over the course of xmas and new year we lost both females and all the babies DD was devastated so now we only have Stevie left, i refuse to let her get another as they are really hard to sex correctly and couldnt face another loss.LittleMissHappy wrote: »Ha ha spoon - you were right, I had to have a little go as the kids built a ramp to sledge over - it was brilliant! 3 NSDs here; 1 for Thu and 2 this weekend.
Still off with anexity and depression here....got to return to the docs next Weds for another note. My anxiety attacks are still frequent, but the sickness element where I would throw up has stopped for the time being.0 -
Just finished catching up with posts since about 9:30am yesterday - and what a number there were !!
Compromised with my fella about the driving yesterday - especially as it started to snow before we left (he knows I hate driving in it) on top of my not having slept well for a few nights (on that basis alone he wanted to drive!). I had a named driver on my policy who there's no reason for keeping on it any more, so I called my insurance company and swapped over so that the 2nd driver is now my fella which meant he could take over if it was getting too bad for me to want to carry on. He's driven the sort of car I have before, so although he wouldn't know all her 'quirks' she wouldn't be totally strange to him. The snow disappeared about half way up to my DD's so it wasn't tooooo bad, and I mustn't have done too badly as he didn't try talking me into passing over the keys for the return journeyHit the snow/slush slightly sooner on the return trip than I'd expected, so slowed down - in some parts not doing more than 30 even on the motorway. We say two recovery trucks winching vehicles up from off the slope the other side of the hard shoulder within a few miles of each other which unnerved me a little, but I just kept my speed down and concentrated on the roads - and made it home in one piece, although I opted to pull into my parking spot nose first instead of reversing in as normal !!
The visits to both DD and my parents (and DS2) seemd to go OK, and on checking FB this morning we discovered that DD had posted on her wall just after we left there that she "approves of mother's new fella" - so I've just got to wait for her to get some feedback from my parents nowAlready had a 'seems OK' from DS1, which seems pretty high praise from a lad of almost 23
While at DDs I handed over the sponsorship money for my GDs, which meant not an NSD. Fella and I decided to get a chinese take-away for tea, and I paid for that as well (no fight over it, but long overdue my turn as he's already paid for a couple and took me out for a belated birthday Italian last weekend) - so that's a fair chunk of this months grocery budget gone too !!!
Today has been an NSD though, so that takes me up to #3 :T
Decided I really didn't need anything from the shops, and have that much in that a Whoopsie hunt would have just meant me possibly ending up with a lot of stuff I'd struggle to store/use. So I spent the best part of an hour test driving the snow shovel I bought a few months back, and I have to say it really does make the job a lot quicker and easier than the garden spade I've used in past years.....
Several people always seem to end up driving over a section of lawn I own when the drive gets lost under snow, and some sections of it are in pretty bad shape from past years - so I've cleared well over half of the shared drive (the section I have a one-third responsibility for), and dumped the snow I've moved off it onto the lawn they drive over..... so they now have no excuse for not knowing where they should and shouldn't be aiming forCheryl0 -
im up to 3nsd's now - not managing to get on here as much as normal now having an newborn lol but will pop on when i can to update my figureLearning to keep within budgets !
:money:0 -
Two more to add to the list, Sat and Sun. I think that makes 3 NSDs but will go and check before I declare in red0
