Going to try and catch up on this weeks list. Not much done Thursday / Friday as we had DGD1 for a couple of sleepovers:-) Wow JJ you've worked us hard this week:-) My house is looking so much better in only two weeks and I'm really please with just chipping away at the clutter. And I'm such a geek can't wait to see the next days list! Does this make me really sad?

Any news on Ed Dusty or Mrs MP niece? Sening hugs and prayers to any other poorlys

Not at all. I like looking at them, it is actually doing them that I have problems with :o

I bought a mop and bucket this morning for my new kitchen floor. lovely to need one - carpet in kitchens is just wrong IMHO. DH has built a large cupboard to box in the boiler (and stop all the air vents for it from making the kitchen so cold) which means I have somewhere safe and out of sight to store housekeeping stuff for the first time in the five years. Is it sad that this makes me very happy?

Soon I will have worktops and everything, stinking colds and half term permitting.

    Morning lovelies!

Facebook won't load for me with this Dongle so can't view pigpen's pics, I'll have a gander when I move back home.

It's cold here this morning, been down to the main post office to pick up a tax disc refund form which should put approx £100 into the 'pay OH back for the car loan fund' :j also got £60 for my old car off the scrap man so that's gone in too, y'know I don't mind having catalogues and what have you but can't bear owing someone personally so the sooner I can give him it back the better, will be on economy drive for a while though Boo hiss!

Got work for a couple of hours this avo, which is just as well cos it will pay for some gas/elec lol also need to find some dosh for littley's school meals, and dig out form for free school meals and chance my luck :money: need a new financial plan of action put into place so will sort that out over the weekend.

House needs doing, it's ok but needs doing as it's not up to my standards :rotfl: need to sort out the washing and get the WM into action, I so wish I'd brought my TD it would have been so much easier:- will know that if there ever is a next time, which I hope there isn't, I'm itching to move back home now, but it's coming on well, just need the weather to do one so they can do the top rendering but kitchen is in, bathroom is in, plastering is done, windows/doors are on, they've also been very very nice and given me my tall oven housing but he said not to tell anyone :D doesn't really matter initially as I aint got an oven to put in it  :rotfl:

    small list for today:-

    WM
    errands in town
    work
    dry washing
    start financial plan of action
    dishes & kitchen clean/hoover
    hoover through entire house
    sort tea and purchase
    get gas/elec

Hmm - not too bad for a couple of hours work :D DH & the kids helped loads so thats really good. Off to get some lunch, get a bday card for my nephew & then take DD to riding/ hairdressers. The weather is looking ominous so I'm hoping that, once out and about, I can get home!

  • Having a pottering weekend, very sleep deprived as ended up at out of hours docs last night with Ben. Nothing serious just a cold, constipation and his hernia getting more angry looking due to him crying. I only wanted to know if I could give him some calpol for the pain but they wanted to see him so off we went.

So far today have done the following

    Load of washing in
    Bens bedding changed
    Dishwasher loaded
    Bottles washed and sterilised
Bathroom and bens room straightened up
    Kitchen straightened up

Now to do the living room quickly then get something to eat before Ben wakes up. This means next time he goes for a sleep, I can have one as well :D no heavy duty flying been done, just need to make sure that my bedding is dry for ironing collection tomorrow.

MrsChaos can you not get money to scrap the car like embb? Good luck with your hunt.

carpet in kitchens is just wrong IMHO.

I'm with you on both counts.

We will, thanks, dusty. The £60 is what we owe the garage already, so scrapping the car will at least pay for their bill.

I've got my new phone and CEX are offering £52 for DH's nokia which I've struggled with since August. :T He only paid £20 for it. Going to do some research to make sure this is the best price.
  • Now I know I am a tad late this week ... I've been having a read back of the last few pages and see the new one gets posted Sunday .... I like the idea of having a day of rest :)

My house isn't in too much chaos however we have a new arrival and the washing has definately doubled :) Also I have a few areas where I need to have a good go through.

My main problem is that I try to do too much too soon and I never stick to it :( from next week my DH will be returning to work and I will be mainly in charge of DD and the household chores (including cooking!) DH does help and will be assigned jobs :) (Well the ones he does ok - I daren't mention that some aren't up to my standard otherwise he wouldn't do anything at all!!)

Looking forward to easing myself into the cleaning and making my home presentable :)
