Morning! Didn't get heaps done Fri and nothing yesterday - we went out Fri night and got to bed at gone 4am and DS1 & DS2 were both up before 7 and noisy.... bit fragile as a result (and not to do with alcohol!!:D) Wide awake before 7 myself this morning - and house cold as boiler turned itself off in the night :(

We have a bit of snow - not much. Possibly planning trip to IKEA today for bookcase for DS1's room and C-o-d and bedside cabinet for DD's room - will double check on weather first before heading down t'motorway!! :D

Am impressed (as is DH!!!!) with what I've achieved the first week back on the flywagon - sure, not all has been done, but lots was - including MASSES of paperwork.

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs & Landing x2

    Extras
[STRIKE]Empty, vacuum, tidy/ sort under the stairs cupboard..... [/STRIKE] - looks lovely in there now - woe betide anyone who doesn't hang their coat up or just flings shoes in!!

Thursday - Master Bedroom and Landing

Strip, wash and replace bedding - can't do without DH - mattress is too heavy for me, so will be a weekend job
    [STRIKE]Level Two[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Level Three[/STRIKE]
    Extras
    [STRIKE]HHPaperwork[/STRIKE]
    HH me time

Actually, it's not as bad as I thought! :) Beds *should* be done today - but are unlikely to be, I have to confess! Will aim for our bed as I can manage the kids' beds throughout the week without needing DH

    Morning ladies.

Didnt get in tail end of the week but have been doing bits n pieces that constitute a little flying and havent read fred back yet so going to do that in a min.

We've got 6 inches of the white stuff this morning, knew I should have done the food shop yesterday! Might go and take the sledge and drag it back as it is in walking distance or might ask DH to get the big car out but that would mean digging the gates out at the back. Will see what he says in a bit.

So far this morning have retrieved some washing from the rads and put another lot out and put the WM on again. I usually have the WM & TD on all day on a Sunday n it does my head in so thought I'd try it differently this week and see how I get on.

Plans for today - long lazy bath, food shop, hoover and dust through top to bottom, plus some ironing.

Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Thanks embb, the snow and half term next week may mean things grind to a halt as he will have to be daddy daycare. We need some stuff from BnQ or he can't get on.

Greenbee - George is slightly annoyed still, but as we haven't fitted the extra vents yet the door has mostly been left open. This morning she is mostly cross about the snow, unlike Tiger who plunged off up to his shoulders in it.

I have been out to clear the bird bath, and to put some food out at the front. Some halved apples, cheap dried fruit and the last of the bird feed. Our Robin was there instantly, and I still have a flock of fieldfares and a pair of blackbirds feasting on the crab apple. please spare a thought for the birds and put out some clean water if you have snow

Lots of washing and ironing to do, and I must walk the dyson round, there is sawdust and building mess everywhere. Great excuse to not do it :p

Enjoy the snow kaz... Work out what you can feed everyone with what's in the house and then pick up the rest by sledge :)

We don't have as much as you, so I'm about to take my nephew's sledge, which was in my shed, over for him. I then need to decide whether to head up to London tonight as I have a cake-decorating class tomorrow (I'll get back around 6ish) or cancel and try to reschedule for another time... Might see how today's journey goes!

Oh... And need to commit to an approved food order before I head off, despite saying I was going to try to run down stocks :o I'm doing quite well on the freezers, and have plenty of fruit in there, so it is only juice and fresh veg that I will need over the next few weeks.

    Morning all

We've got a good six inches here.

Hex - Birds are out in force today, Redwings, Fieldfares, Mistel Trushes and the odd blackbird bouncing the snow off the holly tree. I'll put water and seed out in a bit.

Today will either be a big flying session or a big paperwork session.

DS2 still not well, full of cold now, DS1 asleep, DS3 will want to go out into the snow with friends in a bit. Only supplies we are really lacking is bread but we don't eat that much of it and I have panninis in the freezer.

    Have a good day flyers.

Who has half term this coming week and who next week, for my list planning?

  • Morning from the soft damp soggy slushy South - DS was delighted with white stuff and out playing by 7.15 :D

Off to church, then back via large next village play area so DS can do some more snow...

Half-term for us is the week after Dusty..

    Moam

Half term week beginning 13th here, Dusty.

I've set the WM away and had some Porridge, put away the dishes from the drainer and cleared the coffee table of junk. I've got a hankering to sort out some more boxes so will go upstairs and see what's left to sort, I'm leaving the paperwork box till *coughs* later :o

WM is finished so will go and drape it all on the rads.

Dusty our half term is your birthday week. Love the Woody pictures btw.

The hens are hating it as usual and are huddled together muttering furiously.

Nanamia, I need to keep on top of my house as otherwise it descends quickly into CHAOS, I am making sure I enjoy Ben, and if it doesn't need doing then it doesn't get done. DH and the kids gave me a bird feeding station for my birthday yesterday so that's up in the garden. I put fresh water in the bath/drinking tub as the other was iced over. We already have a feeder in the tree and I've seen lots of little birds on that; it normally takes a while before they find new things in the garden I've found.

I found Betsy, DS's sweet little chicken, had died in her sleep yesterday so that was sad. We're going to get another 2 in the spring.

Flying wise, going to do dailies and got a pile of ironing I have to do. AF started yesterday (great birthday present .... not!) and isn't being very kind to me so will take it easy. Apart from that I'll just tidy up a bit as I go.

Dusty, half term is the week after next for us here.

Greenbee, had to smile at you doing a cake decorating class - I need a cake making class as I'm a bit of a disaster in the kitchen :rotfl:! Saying that I think the children and I are going to do some cooking today.

Right, best get the kids dressed ..
