OH decided on tuesday morning that he should look for work, so he picked a few company's that do the work he likes (they weren't advertising for workers). Anyway he found one only 7 miles up the road, had his interview done by 4pm and he started on wednesday morning and so far so good...

That is fab news Vanilla I hope he enjoys it and it helps his recovery.

I've cleaned the bathroom, bar the floor.

Fed and watered the front birds, I'll do the back next, redwings have almost stripped the holly tree, amazing, and have now moved onto their second choices of the crab apple in the back and next doors pyracantha.

Hoovering upstairs next and DH is going to clear the front path and salt it in a minute.

Who thinks school will be open tomorrow?

It looks like we all have the same half term.

Oh, and I've busted three nails in two days. Bet even Piggers doesn't do that!:D

i once did 4 in one go.. that was painful.. and bloody. My mother once did 9 at once.. she had her hands on the steering wheel when she was hit from behind and both hands went straight through the wheel and ripped them all off.

I snapped one off an hour after having them done on thursday... rearranging my underwear! lol

Thanks LW and Dusty, he's very positive about it and so am i for a change..:rotfl:

WM decided to play up so it's been emptied and the filter cleaned out, found 40p and a hairbobble. I've put in on a hot wash now and hopefully it will work ok. Dinner on and more clean washing away, rhys having a snooze on the sofa and kids playing so can't complain..:D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Just lost my post - scream !!! Fed the birds and defrosted their water dish. So now just checking my emails but to be honest sitting in front of the computer seems to my best idea today. Don;t fancy leaving the warmth of the sitting room plus the dogs are lying around me and DH is watching a film. Will sit here for a while :o

  • Good afternoon :D

Quite a bit of snow here. They said 2-4 inches, but looks more like 6!

I usually go shopping on a Saturday, but was on a course then took the dog out. After I had warmed up I didn't fancy going out again. I am regretting that now, especially as the petrol light had come on, so I need petrol aswell :o DS cleared the car off, and I tried to pull out, but we needed to dig it out aswell, so I left it & went on foot. We live in a built up area, not in the sticks, so don't have to walk far (although the supermarket with petrol station is about 5 miles away). The toy shop was open (not usually on a Sunday), so we went in & bought an orange sledge :j Then went on to Aldi's (they had no bread and no veg!!). Came back via pet shop (rabbit food & pigs ears) & Co-op (bread). The whole trip (about 2 miles round trip) took nearly 2 hours!!

DS & DD2 have just gone out with the dog, and the sledge. I made them take a phone - so they could phone for an ambulance if needed :rotfl::rotfl:The dog LOVES the snow :)

I am really hoping the schools will be open tomorrow. Although I don't have enough petrol to do the school run with confidence :o

DH did lots of tidying yesterday while I was on my course, as well as washing & ironing :T
I still need to do one piece of work for uni (due in today ). I did the other one on Friday :) OK. Lets get the books out again, while it is quiet. It's a good job I have some ready meals in the freezer :o
  • I am in again this week - haven't done too well so far but off to tackle the kitchen and the ironing now. Will tick off as much as I can and see what is left at the end of it. Will do my best to clear all the L1s

Oooh no seafarers_wife it wasn't a criticism :( You just sounded to be doing way too much specially with Ben. I so sorry if I have offended you. I know what you mean about following the lists I've only done two weeks but you really really can tell the difference. Roll on week three Dusty I've no little ones in school so half term doesn't affect me !

    Can anybody explain DFW please

When I joined Mse flylady just over a year ago one of my aims was to stick some Thomas toys on ebay. They have just sold :) Slowly slowly catches monkey, see I am getting there.

We have spent the morning playing with DS2 in the garden and drinking hot chocolate in our dutch barn. Miss Muddy Paws is a very small cat (3Kgs) and can only cope with short visits outside.

Ironing basket empty. The search for packaging begins. I know I have had a recent flinging session of jiffy bags etc. May have to see if my parents have any.

DS1 has gone sledging with a friend. We had about 6" here last night. It has melted a little.
