I notice the kitchen looks quite small. I know there's not a lot you could do but perhaphs taking multiple pictures and see which angle looks best? Also some of the rooms dont look like theres enough furniture in for the size of the rooms. The front room in particular and possibly the bedroom. Maybe borrow some for pictures just for a cosier look. Also personal opinion again but some of the photos look a bit dull in colour. One last thing as its a family house I am always interested to see the garden on a picture before I view a house.

All personal preferances again and I am no expert just my opinion.

Yes, I've ID'd your location and there's only one house price for the close. Obviously I've not got any idea what the various houses look like, I'm sure the suitability of the price will become apparent as time goes on and you do or don't receive offers.

ha ha, yes thats our house that we bought, as I say its a small close and the houses don't change hands much, we are in our early 30's and we are the youngest in the road by far, so we were really surprised we actually got this house because it was classed as a sought after close in the area, close to the town and train station, and I think there isn't another close in the town that is the same as our close.

no offence taken, I just want to sell our house and the feedback we have had for the EA is that its early days we will get a buyer for you.

yes in my opinion kitchens are now big things for families etc both me and the wife were never people that bothered cooking much so it didn't bother us, we wanted a big lounge (sound right lazy slobs now I was saying the same about the kitchen in particular, we could have had some under cupboard lights on and maybe wait for a sunny day (i'm wishing) because when the sun is out the house is filled with light and it looks much better.
we decided against a garden pic at the time, the EA took one but it was at the time of the windy weather and it was an overcast day so we thought better of it, but your right, its something i always look for when going through the house details both for my kids and myself because i don't want a huge garden but neither do i want a postage stamp.

we were told that we are only allowed max 6 pics for rightmove website (anyone confirm this) so its hard to describe but the both the bedroom and the lounge are quite look and has alot of furniture in them but its out the outside of both rooms leaving space int he middle, just because the kids run around etc. for example in the bedroom that wooden floor extends back to three double wardrobes and ta large free standing full length mirror, should we take two angle pics and lose maybe the kitchen and the bathroom pics

so have a front pic, two lounge, two bedroom and a garden pic?

ok so it seems that everyone seems to agree that we need some spruced up photos.

It's just a minor thing but it's a bugbear of mine - tell that estate agent of yours to check their spelling!!! Last time I looked accommodation hat 2 "m" and disappointment had 2 "p"! It does of course in no way reflect on your beautiful house, but I hate having to read bad spelling in property descriptions. No offence to anyone out there please just a personal thing!

  • Good morning:

Re: number of photos allowed on the Rightmove site.

We sold through Housenetwork and had our property listed on Rightmove...we had over 40 photos!

You need to have a quick chat with your agent:D

    Good luck.

Agree about a photograph of the garden, or at least an approximate size mentioned in the EA's blurb (It was the first thing I looked for after looking at the photo's)

Also, why does the EA blurb say that the house was previously 4 bed? What's the point of that? It's a bit like saying "this is what you could have had"
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T

I like your decor and it fits the style of the house perfectly but it is very modern (I love the radiators) and it won't appeal to everyone.

I agree the pictures don't do the property justice and I think that some people view houses for fun, I mean why view a house in the "wrong" part of town, it's fixed in position, they are just time wasters.

I hope you get the right viewer very soon.

you have a beautiful home but my first impression was it wasnt a family home. it has the look of a professional persons home. the size of the kitchen would personally put me off as a family home. maybe you could replace that one with one of back garden or childrens room? is it the family market you are targeting?
    three weeks isnt long though.
