Oven pride you say? Must try that, I've used Mr Muscle for years just because it's been what they sell at my local (small) supermarket and I'm not impressed.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

    Hi bramble,

I'm another fan of oven pride.

I've added your thread to the existing one on cleaning the oven so that you can see what other Old Stylers do.

  • Slightly off topic, but once your oven is sparkling clean stick a sheet of tinfoil on the bottom of it (cut to size if necessary). It will then catch all the bits so you simply lift it and voila, clean and shiny oven bottom!

Been trying all the old style cleaning tips (White Vinegar, Cola down the loo etc) - but what's a good oven cleaner?

    Thanks

My house generally gets cleaned with soda crystals and star drops, but for the oven I use Mr Muscle self scrubbing formula in the orange spray can. Oven cleaning is hellish, so I'm willing to part with a couple of pound twice a year to make it really easy.

cant remember the name - doh - but it comes with a large bag for you to put the shelves and stuff in. also use it neat on the inside of the oven. its brilliant - cost about £4 or so but really does the job. i got mine in my local robert dyas.
