Hi guys, have searched the forum but couldn't find the answer to my specific question! I cleaned my oven at the weekend but couldn't do the top where the element is as it gets in the way!!! How do others get around this? Also, surely the element could do with an occasional clean too?
Thanks!0 -
Hi
I wipe the element with a rung out soapy dishloth and it wasn't very dirty. You could also wipe with a damp microfibre cloth.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -

Hi everyone,
Well what a day! My home-made casserolle yesterday went horribly wrong and the dogs ended up eating it all, then got up this morning to find out what they really thought of the casserolle...it was all over the kitchen floor for me!!!!
Anyhoo, all cleaned up and trying to stay in a good mood and the 2nd blooming knob on the cooker breaks! grrrrrr
Hubby is looking on Ebay and found replacement knobs but they are white instead of black & silver..oh well...im not too posh for different coloured knobs!
Then I said "the light is also broken, do they sell thoses?" and went to look in the oven to see how hard it would be to replace but UGHHHH the oven is a complete mess! I cover the bottom with foil but it's a fan oven and the foil moves so the bottom is now gross!
I was in such a bad mood (between the dogs pooing everywhere and my toothache) that I say "Just bin the bloo** thing and buy a new one...i'm not cleaning it!"
.....so here I am, on the advice of my hubby to ask the best way to get my oven looking pretty again.
I have tried a couple of oven cleaners in the past...I find it hard to get rid of the smell after but are there any cleaning tips or products you find good?
Thanks...from a moody sulking money saver! lolWhy does my dog chase cars? Even if he caught one he hasn't passed his test!0 -

Hi bananadog,
Poor you, it sounds like you've had a rotten day! I use oven pride in the oven and on the shelves and astonish on the glass door in between oven cleans. This thread has more suggestions that may help.

I'll add your thread to that one later.
