well the only thing that does work is scraping the oven bottom but i can't keep doing that can i??
any other tips at all?
i'm seriously considering paying one of those oven cleaning companies to come and clean it for me!!!!!!!!!!
OVEN MATEhonest give it a go. I was seriously thinking about paying someone as well. This stuff was my last go at doing it myself.
Painted it on, left it overnight and wiped out the sludge in the morning.
All the burned on stuff had turned into a kind of dark brown sludge. My oven is like new now.
I don't work for the company, honest. Just think this stuff's brilliant.0 -
I use Mr Muscle and it's brilliant, just spray in, leave half an hour and just wipe clean! It is strong stuff. I did mine yesterday, it wasn't bad at all but I try to avoid 'build up' as it's harder work

If you have a glass door insert in your oven try using a paint scrapper (one made to get paint off windows not walls) to get the grease off first. Cuts down on the elbow grease too :TIf you dont want it - dont waste it - Freecycle it!0

We have tried lots of products but the best thing by far was Bar Keeper's Friend. We sprinkle it on, sprayed it with water, leave it for ten minutes, and the glass was completely spotless. It's a lot kinder on hands and lungs than any of the other stuff too! I love the smell of BKF... mmmmm.... sherbert!0
