Hails14, this has happened to me three times recently, I gave them a week to pay then just opened a case against them. Don't know if a week is being too generous though, but that's just me xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0

Thanks everyone for your responses!
Think am going to invest in a set of scales
Just another question one item I sold on Sunday night the buyer still hasn't paid yet and I have sent another invoice yesterday but still nothing what would I do? Relist the item? Open a case?
Thanks
You can open a NPB after 4 days, or get ebay to open them automatically for you.
I have mine set up for the 4 days auto opening & then it closes 4 days after if they don't pay. You get your FVF's back & the bidder get a strike.0 -

I am not losing my 100% Fb - so I relisted the 2 items for 1 day so buyer could buy them and I would do combined postage. Well - now someone else has put a bid on 1 item - first buyer is not happy!

I bought a multipack of postage bags a couple of years ago. I think there were 1-200 in there. It worked out at about 20p per bag. I then write on these with either permanent marker or biro, both work equally as well.
Unfortunately, I was marked down on my DSR's a couple of weeks ago on P&P as I had guestimated P&P but when it went, it was actually able to go through as a letter. I couldn't figure out which item was charged what though because the lady at the PO was yacking and typed all of the proofs onto receipts which were printed at the end and I completely lost track. I may actually need to get myself some real life envelopes soon though as they seem to be cheaper for postage. A lot of thin tops will go as a letter if in an envelope but if they are in a plastic package, they fall down and need to go as a packet.
I saw the lady from the post office today as I was heading down with arms full of my packets. She was just heading on her lunch break and she recognized me! The one I got today wasn't nearly as much fun
An ordinary envelope wouldn't be the best thing for soft items like clothing, it can get caught up on machinery & rip or get wet & soggy if it rains when the postie has it out for delivery. Brown paper is also not good for soft things.0 -

Someone else could still have got there first though. I wouldn't worry about it too much, that's the way of an auction sometimes. I've done a BIN lots of times when the buyer's been online & send the link to them, in the few minutes it would take them to buy it the chances are nobody else is going to see it & buy.0 -
I agree the chances are slim. However, when I had someone wanting to buy one of my items last week, she told me how to amend the actual auction she was watching to a BIN. As I had listed on FLW, I only incurred £0.20 extra fees for adding the BIN. Had I started another auction, I would probably have incurred more fees.
That only worked for me because we both happened to be online at the same time though.
I've sold another 3 items last night so have got them all cleaned up and ready to go to their new homes. Now have several more items to list from my Aunty and Uncle. I will stick them on facebook and ebay. I'll go for a £0.99 listing for 10 days on ebay and stick them on fb for a £5. Hopefully I'll get them some pennies.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
I cancelled a few of my items that were due to end this weekend. No watchers, no bids, still at 99p, so I'm going to relist this weekend if it's a FLW.
Fingers crossed it is :rotfl:Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Don't forget everyone that postage costs go up in April each year, I don't know if the new price leaflets are in the post office yet.0

Good point hermum, thanks for the reminder.
I've managed to shift quite a bit of stuff today on my local facebook selling page. 1 item actually gone and several being collected tomorrow. Brilliant. Not all cash for me but I am helping my Aunty and Uncle clearing out their flat as they want to get it rented out instead of leaving it sitting empty. There is tonnes of stuff in there which is all good condition and just needs to be sorted out and got rid of. They need to get it painted too so hopefully I can get more stuff cleared in the coming days.
As I pointed out to my Uncle earlier on, as I manage to shift each piece of whatever, it allows me to get a little bit further in and enables me to photograph the next batch of items.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0
