We normally average between 8 and 20 watchers, on our mainly childrens and womens clothing. I think it depends upon catagory. I know i may watch the same item 4 or 5 times by different sellers, and then keep bidding on one at a time until it either ends, or goes higher than i budget. It doenst mean that im definately going to buy it.

I put 22 listings on last night for 10 days, and one item already has 34 watchers! i cant find another set like it, so fingers crossed it'l do well!

What other catagories do people find do well? i stick with clothing as it easy to package, but id love to do something different x
I am selling my surplus craft stuff at the moment plus odds and ends eg bits from cupboards that were here when I moved in - 2nd marriage. Of course get Mr F's agreement before I sell any of his stuff. I don't have a dummy to sell clothes so have only ever done a couple of items. There were some retro mini skirts that I found at Mil's - they sold. I have also sold books/fabric/yarn/empty tins and haberdashery. I relisted five items this week - noted to myself - last chance - no sell - off to CS - they have been relisted umpteen times - one now has a bid! Oh dear - now what do I do? Go ahead with my plan to relist as last chance - 8 items a week - so I get rid of stuff - or not? :(

    Hi all,

I think I overpriced my items last weekend when it was free listing. Some are finishing tomorrow night, others on Sunday and out of 30 items only 2 have bids on! Not many watchers either.

Planning to stick some baby toys on this weekend but feel like I need some ideas for things to sell as well

You don't get rid unless you literally can't find space to keep it! I've had a few thing's I've relisted 7 or 8 times before they had any watchers and finally sold :)

I have just got lots of stuff to Eb.. plus there is loads at Mil's as her flat has to be emptied out. Doesn't there come a time - when an item has been relisted and relisted - that you say - get in that charity bag and out ! Don't buyers get fed up with seeing your same stuff put on Eb.. ? :o

Maybe if you get proper 'watchers' that have you saved as a seller. Not if you are a new person who stumbles across you selling exactly what they are looking for :j

I must admit I too sometimes watch items from people that i know locally just to see if they sell! especially one person in particular who is always "bragging" about there um "sucess"..... or as the case may be be unsucess!!

I cant bethe only one that does this? I also sometimes look at what they have bought!!! :A

I have just managed to sell a high chair for £15 BIN. I had listed it at £7.50 and was asked this afternoon if I had a BIN price in mind. She completed the BIN within seconds of me adding it and will collect in the near future. Unfortunately, the high chair wasn't ours so I won't see any money from it (unless the Grandparents are feeling very happy!). I still have lots of stuff to sell. They have a whole flat to clear out so I just started at the edge and started snapping and listing.
My sister has a high chair stored there but she won't take less than £40 for it and I don't see her getting that much for it. I've listed it for £44.50 so the ebay fees would be covered but I wish she'd sort it out herself!
