Well done on passing your driving test.Hi yes I did verify it but it is still showing 10 items please could someone kindly advise thanks.
I think it can take a while, you need to get good FB from several sellers. I don't know if the rules are set in stone or if it's a bit ebay flaky though.
Well done on £460 on 72 items, that's a substantial amount of money.
I've got 35 watchers & 1 bid on 1 item with 3 1/2 days to go, so hoping that at least a few of them will bid.0 -

As a new seller you will need to prove yourself as a good seller, postive feedback & stars for your selling limits to be raised. You should currently be allowed 10 'sales' a month if you list 10 items this week and 5 sell then you should be able to list 5 more items the next week. The limits wil lift automatically from your account.
You can also contact ebay and request your selling limits be increased. Once you have listed 10 items, i think a warning comes up and you should be able to request it through a link there. If not you will have to go via the help center, it's easy to find, i just (accidently) requested them to increase my limits by attempting to get the link oooops
You can always write out information in a word document or something so you can copy & paste it into listings once your limits have been listed.

How many watchers do you get on average?
I'm selling mainly clothes, some shoes, makeup (all new stuff), plus some other things like my breadmaker, coffee machine, filofax.
On the bigger things I've had 8-9 watchers, but the clothes etc Im lucky to have 3 or 4It's all branded stuff, Next Oasis etc, and all either new or worn once (inc the shoes)
I don't know if Im over thinking things, but I read that people have 30-40 watchers, so am I not advertising them well enough?
Do I need to jazz up my listings to attract more watchers??Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
May I join in please?
I've just read this thread from the start (it's taken me a few hours on and off!) and it's all very inspiring.
I've recently got into flogging all our non-essentialitems and have made it my mission to clear a room every month. I did my DS's nursery in January and made about £75 profit. This month is my wardrobe (I'm splitting our wardrobes into 2 months cos there's just so much of it!) and I've got 34 items listed currently, some due to end tonight and then the rest to end over the weekend. Most has been bid on so far but I'm most impressed by the spanx I listed. Listed for 99p, already up to £8 with 23 watchers and 3 days left! Also the most surprising one is a waistcoat of my DH's with matching bow tie and handkerchief which is the most disgusting thing ever. Listed at 99p and going for £3 right now!
Anyway, boasting aside :P, could you add me on for 2 bags a week please? Will keep me motivated! I've got 2 bags of clothes ready to list tonight for 10 day listing.Debt free in

Hi
what a brilliant thread. Well done Keys and to everyone else who is making an effort.
I would love to join in. I have ebayed before but never been very successful. I dont know if it is the wording of my items or what but I got really disheartened and gave up. Since reading this though I downloaded turbo lister but an I dumb or what????? I can't figure it out at all.
Any help and advice for to get me started agin would be much appreciated.
Thanks0 -

Well done to everyone who has moved so much stuff this week- I have been having a very quiet week due to various other commitments but feel put to shame now!
I must crack on next week before I lose motivation again.
eliviajen- I know how you feel, I worry about the items far too much as well and get worked up when it comes to posting things!* Ebay- 1 Bag a Day *0 -

I don't know if there's such a thing as average number of watchers, one item I've got on at the moment has 36 watchers. A few have 3 another 8 & lots have none.
I would like to be able to switch off the watchers number really, although I keep checking it.
I'd rather have 2 or 3 bidders & no watchers than 30 watchers & just 1 bidder.0 -
We normally average between 8 and 20 watchers, on our mainly childrens and womens clothing. I think it depends upon catagory. I know i may watch the same item 4 or 5 times by different sellers, and then keep bidding on one at a time until it either ends, or goes higher than i budget. It doenst mean that im definately going to buy it.
I put 22 listings on last night for 10 days, and one item already has 34 watchers! i cant find another set like it, so fingers crossed it'l do well!
What other catagories do people find do well? i stick with clothing as it easy to package, but id love to do something different x0 -
Thankyou for all the praises for my test

:hello::hello::hello: I have added you to the list
Watchers - I find if you have a lot of watchers you usually get plenty of bids in the last few hours of bidding , I normally watch items that i have to sell and havnt listed so have no intentions on bidding on - Like i stated earlier if they sell for a high price I copy and paste the details and tweek them to my item
Item condition - I too get really nervous about them when i post thinking someone will not be happy and dread it when i see a message with there name on - Usually saying thankyou it has arrived - I am then relived and shocked, especially if i think they paid to much
eliviajen - I have posted many items I stay away from heavy and awkward shaped items if i can - Kitchenware { tins , chopping boards , cutlery etc } seems to be a good one - like cake tins they sell well before mothers day , xmas , school summer fares etc - Just a bit awkward to post so i save boxes up for these as I dont want them getting dented in transit .
Ive also done well in the past with childrens bedding & curtains as I am always on the lookout for reduced ones anyhow - as i used to use them for dog bedding { obviously I dont list the ones the dog uses lol }
2+4 - It is a few years ago since i used turbo lister - hopefully someone will; be here to help . From what I remember type in the the specifics like you would on ebay - then once you have done the master template just tweek the bits for different items .
I am today doing bundle of boys clothes - some will be bin and some auction - I still have to take pics but did some yesterday so am going to start type first for yesterdays .
Well done everyone on all your sales - serious money is being made whilst de clutteringEbay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin
