Has anybody had any good experiences of the TALEX database..

After yet another update I have found that 2 cameras I pass by are now way out. I get the final 100 yards warning when Im already past them and now have 2 speed cameras one right after another on a road where the camera was removed over a year ago...

I have tried the Novus database and it is reporting everything correctly but dont know how up to date it is with new cameras.

On my way home the TALEX database is now giving me a speed camera (30 mph) warning on the M8 in a 50MPH zone that was never there before... This database just gets better and better.. I now have 7 glitches or mistakes that never used to be there.

I've found no introduced errors on my daily route.

I got a new possible 30mph mobile speed camera alert last night when I drove into my Dad's street.

He lives in a private terrace about 100 yards long!

Also got another 3 other incorrect warnings since the 8025 Talex update.

Think I may have worked this out..

The Talex 8025 database has a LOAD of mistakes in it for me. The Talex 8023 database has 2. The Novus Databse 8023 has the EXACT same 2 mistakes even down to the distance one that is NOT there on any previous database. Is Novus just copying the Talex DATABASE and renaming it???

£147 or special offer of £79 for talex users...

the promised "seamlessly integrate" with your talex... appears to be nothing more than sharing the 12V plug!!

It will be interesting to see reviews and comment.
I placed an order for Talex laser add on machine. But just found your posting on here.
A bit worried as payed for item and did not get an email confirming order.
Only will see on paypal and bank statement.
I Rang them and was told that they are still working on this, and the item will be sent out a few days after shipment in mid April.

Have i made a mistake, will this unit do what its says or will it be rubbish.
read that other units that have laser function have never picked the had held units up.

I'm sorry but it's goiing to be rubbish. The claims he makes in the email are quite simple not true. It does not take 3 secs to take a reading, it takes less than 1 second with a laser gun. The only way they work is the random occurance of maybe picking up the scatter from a car being checked right in front of you, that is the only time you can react quick enough. If they are locked on to you, forget it, you are toast, no matter how hard you brake.
  • Somebody has just nicked the Talex Lite unit from my car  - so if anybody wants to buy a cheap Talex USB update cable get in touch with me

Have you sold the lead yet?

If not, I'd be interested in buying it, subject to price of course :D
  • Has anyone tried to download update v8030 from the Novus website for the Talex Lite? After downloading my Talex Lite wouldn't work. Luckily I still had v7113 saved and re-installing that version everything now works.

Glitch in the software or have I got a faulty unit?
