Talex Lite Speed Cam Detector £59.99 in Aldi - Hurry!!

Options
On advice from a friend just got one of these for £59.99 last Saturday in my local ALDI, they're £89.99 from the Talex website

http://www.talex.co.uk/talexlite/

Won a lot a praise in the motoring press and offers fab value compared to other speed cam detectors, which cost a lot more.

Set mine up last night to give it a road test, and it performed flawlessly straight out of the box.

Optional running costs are 'updates' to the database, but again a lot less money than the competitors.

Grab yourself a bargain while you can!

Wouldn't this device encourage drivers to drive fast and not care for the speed restrictions. It could be your child who will be endangered by speeding vehicles.

Isn't there a "Think of the children" equivalent to Godwin's Law*? There should be.

No it wouldn't , I've had one of these for a while and it has never told me to speed up but it has reminded me to slow down a few times when I have crept a couple of miles over the limit.
  • I didn't see any kiddies playing on the hard shoulder last time I was tonking along the M1 & got pulled over for breaking the limit (which was set many moons ago by a bloke with 'a side parting' & wearing his shirt top button done up......so there's unfortunately NO way I can adhere to his wishes!)

I don't want to argue here, just made a point. Anyway the days are not far when the law enforcement will be able to watch the racers on every inch of the UK roads.

The day Big Brother watches every inch of my driving is the day I might as well hang up my spurs.

Hmmm, why does the name Guy Fawkes spring to mind? For some it was the celebration of failure, for others it was the celebration of attempt... :o

    Nice one Hank :T

I got one of these in the Kwiksave " closing down sale" about a year ago.
It is a great device, exceptionally accurate, and the moaning minnies are wrong, it IS a safety device as well as a warning device. It acts as a digital speedo and continuously SHOUTS at you  if you are exceeding the limit in a camera area and doesnt stop till you do slow down to below the limit. This can be for a distance of over a quarter of a mile in "mobile camera" areas. :rolleyes2

Gives time checks on the hour too and tells you to belt up proir to lift off.;)

No bigfoot it needs a 12volt supply, you need to wire one in. how old, a no-smoking Cavalier.???
