The are EXACTLY the same apart from the cosmetic changes..
They will be using the same database as Novus GPS has aquired TALEX under TALEX Technologies. Only difference is the TALEX Lite does not come with an update cable so it costs another £20-£250 -

I took my Talex Lite back, they didn't have the new version so they gave me my money back.
I'll keep looking over the next few weeks and buy something else.
The manageress told the girl on checkout to refund and there were about eight people waiting in the queue giving me funny looks as I filled out the
form for refund etc. I wish the manageress could take me to a different till and do it herself rather than hold everyone else up.
Same if you ask to see something electronic in the locked cabinet by the conveyer belt there are always other people behind you waiting to be served and you feel rushed into deciding if you want it.0 -
Found an interesting test mode on the GPS rider. Hold the menu button, turn on, the display on the front will light everything up, let go of menu button. It will say Talex system active (instead of the GPS rider start up sound). Press menu and it will cycle through all the inbuilt sounds. Probably not very exciting for most, but for the technofreaks like me something somewhat interesting to do once.
Still no idea what the BT/On means. Doesn't seem to change anything at all.0 -
The BT/on seems to stop the LEDs from lighting in some situations, maybe a battery saving thing? Have searched the manual and website but there is no mention of it.
Already had another more expensive unit, but the GPS Rider seems better (especially at £59.99 from Aldi) and it keeps quiet after the initial warning if you are not speeding - far less annoying for passengers than something that keeps bleeping all the time!0
