Another £10 off it with a code so it's £189, think I'm going to sleep on it, but I know I really want it!

Just what I was going to ask too;)

Now decisions, decisions. I saw a walking/running machine on the grabbit board earlier from T's which is £199 from £399. I'm seriously thinking about it, I've got room for it and have wanted one for ages just don't know whether to go for it or not:cool:I've never jogged and have a dodgy knee but thinking maybe if I started with the walking I could slowly build up to a gentle jog. I'd be too embarrassed to do it on the streets so this seems like the perfect idea:)

If you walk on a hill setting, it can burn almost as many calories as jogging, and it puts less strain on your joints. I haven't looked at the treadmill, so i'm not sure it it's one which you can alter the incline on.

What about a Wii fit if not, would you use that? I find really useful for a quick 30 min workout before work. It keeps my attention more than a treadmill, and ther eis more variety of things to do.

3 Dogs- Hope the car boot goes well tomorrow, and Mr Dogs is feeling a bit better.

The impact of jogging on hard concrete on the knee is much underestimated, cars have suspension, we have cartilage,

    shocks can be replaced..

That's what I had done last year, cartilage repair and knee cleaned because of arthritis. The arthritis was caused by the cartilage repair I had when I was 16 :( Maybe I could get it just to use as a walking machine then;)

just read its still not solved, a new water inlet valve is only £7-£18
easy job. anyone can do it. just ask a few handymen. if you can make access to cystern easier for him it would cost less. i changed one for a friend and only charged him for part fitted. he also got me a couple of drinks.

I know my post was so long I even got bored writing it!!!:rotfl:

I do think it's probably a simple job when I can get access that's the problem , if I could get to it I could probably see what the issue is!!

Loving the help on here - much appreciated!!!:T

Meant to say my quiz team won my pub quiz tonight lol - lots of 90's music questions so I got most of them right! Only trouble is sometimes you realise how much you don't know!!
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!

mmmmmm well wii fit:o:o:o:o:o been there, got it, insisted I'd use it everyday. Used it for about a month:o I could ressurect it I suppose:cool: I think I'm seeing the machine as a bit of a challenge.I've given up smoking for 3 months now and when I smoked used to get so out of breath, but now I can walk & talk at the same time;) Thinking about it I also have a brand new bike thats been sitting in the bike shed for two years:oOff to see if it inclines:)

Thanks deb, I normally do about 6 exercise classes a week and go to the gym but I'm in agony with shin splints so I thought I'd go back to swimming for a bit. In my youth (6years ago lol) I used to do 2-3 miles a day every day but I started back last week and I'm up to a mile in 40 minutes (breaststroke) which I'm quite happy with considering Im a bit older and a lot heavier!

Well done smart1e on winning the pub quiz! What's the prize?
