Nikki has it really been 3 months?? Well done:T Treat yourself to the treadmill if it's what you really want, think of how much money you've saved!! Really wish I could give up but every time I think I'm ready life just kicks me with something that I know I wouldn't be able to cope with without them....but my right time will come. DH and I both smoke so we've agreed to do it together, hopefully before the summer but not holding any major hopes at the minute

Do it when you're ready, BUT don't necessarily wait for your OH. I said for ages, can't do it because my OH smokes;)Then we agreed to do it together. Then their was never a time when we were both ready together. Do it for you;)My OH still smokes but he has cut down and I know he will eventually stop because I make him feel guilty, I don't even have to say anything because I know he's peed off that I've managed it;)

Hellooooooo is there any one out there, or is the bar closed for the night?
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

I think I have found a nice little Tesco for mega whoopsies, I can honestly say in all my time whoopsie shopping I have never seen the kind of reductions I did tonight. All products were reduced once and my goodness were they reduced. Example: whole chicken 20p, Oranges 10p, Organic bananas 8p, sausage rolls 2p.

:T:T:T:T:T Well done you! Congrats on finding a fab whoopsie store :D And very sensible and thoughtful of you to leave plenty on the shelves. As they say, a bargain is only a bargain if you're going to use it, even if it's only pence. Especially now with my local A's and their amazing nightly reductions I've had to learn to exercise serious restraint!! :p:o

looking a bit of advice re bikes.
Looking for a bike which would hold me, am overweight  but determined to get out and about with DS for some us time away from extended family we're forced to live with at the moment due to housing executive taking their sweet time getting us somewhere to live. Sorry for mini rant.
    Back to the bike issue
Have been looking at the ones on Mr T's site thanks to MSEr who posted the cheap bike on this thread
    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-4217.aspx
Have looked at this one and was wondering if anyone would know what weight it would hold up to as I can't find the details on that page.
Also I haven't rode a bike for about 15 - 20 yrs so not sure what ones on there would be best. Have decided that will practise in the alley behind my mum's house :rotfl: before embarassing DS at the park but know it'll take time for me to be at his speed but also think it's what he needs at the moment because the situation at home is driving both of us crazy
    TIA

I'm sorry I don't have anything in the way of advice but just wanted to say good on ya girl! :T:j:D

Just what I was going to ask too;)

Now decisions, decisions. I saw a walking/running machine on the grabbit board earlier from T's which is £199 from £399. I'm seriously thinking about it, I've got room for it and have wanted one for ages just don't know whether to go for it or not:cool:I've never jogged and have a dodgy knee but thinking maybe if I started with the walking I could slowly build up to a gentle jog. I'd be too embarrassed to do it on the streets so this seems like the perfect idea:)

Nikki I suffer really bady with my joints, very much like arthritis. A few years ago I was so embarassed about the weight I'd gained that I couldn't face anyone seeing me exercise so I thought a treadmill was the way to go. I've just sold the thing and I would take a guess that I'd ran about 5 miles cumulatively in 3 years+ !!!! I had every intention, like you, to use it for power walking and to build up to running but I HATED it! Running on a treadmill is so much more difficult that on the tarmac. I seem to have so much more spring in my steps running on the road, on a treadmill every step feels heavier. I really didn't like it at all but of course that's only my opinion (never stepped foot in a gym in my life, love cycling, swimming and trampolining! :D)

found the florida's natural fruit string sweets fruit string sweets tonite in c0nn$w@t€r - just 1 random packet on a clipstrip along with the fruit nuggets that are always there. i remembered another n.i. mse-er mentioning them months ago scanning at 1p in the b@ng0r store so scanned them to check and yep they were 1p :)

this has happened to me in this store a couple of times now - finding just 1 of something randomly - the last time was 1 of each of the sarah smith cloths/wipes as if someone had returned them or just left 1 token item behind, it seems strange! was very happy to find something though, no Christmas sweets or anything else to be seen although i only had time for a quick look.

in case anyone else comes across any of these, the bc ends 4004 :)

Exactly the same here, Over the last 2 weeks I have found a single littlest petshop, spontex flexi soft, Hello kitty purse and 1 or 2 other things. Been searching everywhere but they just randomly appear.

Don't bother, you'll hardly ever use it.

For anyone in that wants one and you can pick up from South Wales pm me.

hi. My hubby is a bit of a self proclaimed expert on bikes and says don't waste your money on a new one, buy second hand off fleabay.

    He has about a dozen.

Evening all! Had a fabulous swim followed by an amazing whoopsie night y freezer is rammed!

Found a leapfrog tag book again, little mermaid. Had a whoopsie sticker
For £2.50ish so I'm sure it will be one of the ones scanning dirt cheap. Still bought it tho lol!

He's not one of those bike snobs that post on hukd is he ? "The bikes not worth getting unless it costs £1500 blah blah blah" :p:D

No point getting a second hand bike unless you know what your doing, what if the frames cracked, bearings worn etc ?

The £40 bike from T's is fine for normal use, just make sure you tighten the pedals etc up properly first.

I had one of them, it now sits in the garage. I got it use in the winter when it was icy outside. It feels hard to use, I used to get out of breath after 3 mins and was reasonably fit, my lower back also hurt for some reason. I persevered and eventually got up to 15 min sessions, but it was so tiring. I prefer outdoors where I can walk 2 miles in 25 mins. My advice would be to dust of the exercise bike and give it a whirl. It will be much better because it is not a weight bearing exercise.I love my exercise bike, it sits in front of the tv and time just disappears.

I will swap it for its weight in figs if you still want one ;):rotfl::rotfl:
    And finally....Well done
    3 months without a fag :j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
