    mmmmfresh pineapple.

Does anyone else have the pineapple cutter from Lakeland?
Amazing thing. It cores & cuts pineapple into a continious spiral :T
    Well impressed

    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/15871/Pineapple-Slicer-and-Wedger

Even more impressed - it's been improved to do wedges :T

I love pineapple boats. They look nice on a large platter too. Sooo easy.

Another nice and MsE buffet item is simply watermelon. The green skin and red flesh is visually stunning if served in triangle wedges on a large tray. Really pretty and refreshing.

Could even include the idea of a pierced pineapple with dainty fruit skewers: grapes/cherries/strawberries/pineapple etc to add to the presentation

i got 4 of the finish quatumatic's today for £2.53 each (1/4 price as seen on hukd) does anyone know how long it takes for it to move to next wash after wash has finished. mines been over an hr now and still not moved.

You need to leave them for at least 20 hours between washes for the wax to completely harden :(

I got (ahem) a couple during DTD days and I rang them to complain that mine had stopped turning and they asked if I put my dishwasher on more than once in a 24 hour period - when I said yes they explained that that meant the wax in the cylinder doesn't get a chance to harden properly and it's when the wax hardens that the dial turns. I complained that they should have something like that on the packet and the CS lady agreed and sent me £10 of finish vouchers to buy dishwasher tablets with

  • looking a bit of advice re bikes.
Looking for a bike which would hold me, am overweight  but determined to get out and about with DS for some us time away from extended family we're forced to live with at the moment due to housing executive taking their sweet time getting us somewhere to live. Sorry for mini rant.
    Back to the bike issue
Have been looking at the ones on Mr T's site thanks to MSEr who posted the cheap bike on this thread
    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-4217.aspx
Have looked at this one and was wondering if anyone would know what weight it would hold up to as I can't find the details on that page.
Also I haven't rode a bike for about 15 - 20 yrs so not sure what ones on there would be best. Have decided that will practise in the alley behind my mum's house :rotfl: before embarassing DS at the park but know it'll take time for me to be at his speed but also think it's what he needs at the moment because the situation at home is driving both of us crazy

Found a leapfrog tag book again, little mermaid. Had a whoopsie sticker

Am not going to catch up with this evenings chat....but will try to do so in the morning.
Been to T's tonight. No luck with any of the washing powders, temptations cakes and completely forgot to look for the mars bars!!
Did find loads of the chocolate coins. They were sitting above the top shelf so had to climb on the lower one to reach them,
There must have been about 3 full boxes up there. I took about 40 packets of them and 10 bars of the cars2 chocolate bars (these were SEL 10p)
"Upstairs" I thought I'd found a DTD on some Panasonic phones with an OOD SEL less than half price, but they still scanned at the lower price :(
I did find a double electric blanket with a yellow rtc label of £9 odd. I scanned this and it came up at £22. Unfortunately the lovely SA who was fab about putting the 1p chocs through noticed it was reduced and over rode the till :( so that will be going back.
I did get some decent whoopsies (loads of the Ken Hom stuff reduced btw) including a beef joint and some fillet steak both only just over a quid.

Oh and I found an Adidas "Ice Dive" duo - a box containing body spray and shower gel £1.25 b/c 1730
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
