    Hi Flo

Hope all goes well for you today. I have just had 1st OR call not got my SOA sent over to them yet so just asked some basic questions and will contact me again to make a time for telephone interview. So process is under-way. Hope it will be fairly soon and get it out of the way.

Thinking of you and thanks for your support- we can do this!

    Take care.

  • Well the deed is done, and thank you Jayk and If for your really kind thoughts xx

I feel a little strange, as if I was running on adrenalin until I sat down on the train home and then someone burst my bubble??!...

It was all very smooth, the clerk was very frosty though and I didn't get to see the judge, but I did meet and chat with a Father and Son who were so nice - we stood outside the court in the lovely sunshine wishing each other the best and good luck for our futures - brand new BRs!!

I would've posted earlier but I've just spent the last hour in a panic trying to find my camera so that I could take a picture of my gas and electricity meters! - Found it in a "safe place" eventually!

I now find myself worrying that my mobile will be switched off and my light and heat will be extinguished along with my phone and internet connection and fretting about how I will look for a job and pack up the house without them all....good grief....

As with everyone else, the OR will call within 24 hours to give me an interview date etc - however, I sign on tomorrow and they've decided that it's the day I'll have the "How well are you looking for work" interview, knowing my luck the OR will call while I'm in there! I can't move it to friday either as my Mum has an appt that day......

    Oh dear - I am going on aren't I?!
I think the rollercoaster effect is in full swing but I'll feel much better tomorrow :)

Jayk I really hope you have your OR interview soon and then you can relax and move on to a new year xx

If - I'll eventually get the hang of the pikkies - but I'd love to pop in anyway, thank you xx

Dojoman - could I officially join the Feb BR club now please?

    Best wishes to you all

    Hi Flo

Well you did it well done its such a jumble of emotions before and after.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Now take some deep breaths and try and do one thing at a time. They are not likely to cut you off I intend to go down the pre-paid meter route so I can manage a bit better as my electric bills are dreadful and Scottish power just wont budge on monthly payments even though I don't owe them any money. Are you on a phone contract? I just have basic pay as you go can get a sim card for 99pence from that well known supermarket (every little helps)!!

If you are having your JS interview tomorrow just tell them straight that you are not feeling well, you have done your best to look and are having to sort out a lot of financial and personal matters. It is a paper exercise and as long as you turn up and show willing that's it. Say you are expecting a very important call at the beginning and that you have to take it that way if OR does call you have excuse. It wont take long mine was about 5 minutes. Have some tea, nice bath and try and relax a bit. Its all the stress that's been building up. I had enough wobbles so I know how it feels.

Worst part is done and you cant do it all in a day.

Deep breaths. PM me if you want to
  • Jayk thank you so much, that's really helped :)

I do tend to do that - start yapping and flapping about once I've done something difficult!
A nice long bath and a good feed are what I need, you're right, then a good sleep, then get off my backside and get my house packed up!!

I have a feeling that's what's kicked in really, I'm grieving for my home but in reality it's only ever been a money pit, and when all is said and done I'm so very lucky, I have a warm, safe place to go to and no children to worry about.

So, I'll pour a glass of wine, run the bath and put my chicken thighs on (they don't suit me but what the hell!) and raise a toast to our new life.........thank you xx

Well done Flo, as jayk says the worst part is now done. The JS interview will be a breeze after all the form filling and stress of BR so try not to worry about it too much. Hope the OR call goes well. Now time to have a drink (or 3!) and relax :beer:

  • Thank you minic, you're right - don't know why I'm worrying!

I'm taking Jayk's good advice - and yours too xx

Here's to us all meeting up here on Feb 8th 2013 to celebrate the end of a change-of-life year :j:j

Hi everyone, welcome to the February 2012
    Bankruptcy Club.

This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during February 2012. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting.

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.

Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.

Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.

*PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE TOO MUCH INFO, THE IS ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT THIS SITE AND TOO MUCH INFO MAY MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CASES, SO KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM, ie USERNAME AND DATE ONLY."
