The february 2012 br club

Hi everyone, welcome to the February 2012
Bankruptcy Club.
This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during February 2012. So please feel free to join and post.
Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.
Remember this is your board so keep posting.
Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.
Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.
*PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE TOO MUCH INFO, THE IS ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT THIS SITE AND TOO MUCH INFO MAY MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CASES, SO KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM, ie USERNAME AND DATE ONLY.":pB&SC No. 298

Well it's the eve of my OR interview and I am all over the place :0(
I'm starting to worry about the dates surrounding my debts - most of cc cards are so old I can't remember how long I've had them and so had to guestimate on my SOA, I'm now worrying if I've got it really wrong will the OR take issue with me over it?
As yet I haven't gathered together any bank statements etc as I haven't been told that I need to or what to do with them. - I presume the OR will tell me on the phone tomorrow. My home situation changed just weeks before my BR date due to a family breakdown and therefore my expenditure is now very different to what it was before, again this is another worry as my past bank statements don't reflect my new situation (although I hope the direct debits set up will show this).
Just a quick question regarding IPAs - roughly how long does it take before you know if you will have an IPA or not? My surplus works out at about the threshold so if the OR asks me to make cut backs anywhere then I am sure I will be likely issued with an IPA.
Apologies for the rambling but I just can't settle tonight.
JayK - I know you have your OR interview tomorrow too so just want to wish you all the best.0 -
Thinking of you jayk tomorrowWell it's the eve of my OR interview and I am all over the place :0(
Awww bless you, deep breaths and you'll be fine.

Guesstimate will be fine.

Explain to the OR, they will be fine.

This really differs from OR to OR, some say straightaway and some wait and send the agreement out 2/3 months later.
Apologies for the rambling but I just can't settle tonight.

Your not rambling, here's a few pointers from me
Before the call just look through your 6.28/SOA so your familiar with what you have said. If you have not sent off your bank/credit statements have them to hand. The OR will just go through your 6.28/SOA with you. Also before the call have a big mug of tea ready or a bottle of water, and while they are writing things down you can have sips of tea/water, so you don't feel you have to fill in the pauses. And if you don’t know the answer to a question just say so. Do have a list with all questions ‘you’ want to ask. Can last an hour and a half.
Have a read of Arrowarras thread it will help, with your nerves too.

onmywayup and Jayk, just wanted to send you my best wishes and to let you know I'll be thinking of you this morning.
As ever, If's advice is so calming, and just think, by later today the worst will be over and it will have gone well i'm sure
Let us know how you get on and the very best of luck to you both,

Thank you all for kind messages well I have tidied flat had a coffee have juice ready, papers in front of chair sticky post it notes to remind me of dates. Dont think I can do any more, cant remember all dates and my SOA is honest and basically I have messed up. Told my son yesterday and he was lovely and said will be a fresh start for me have brought kids up by myself since babies and always worked and so lucky to have family support. Was not asked to send any bank statements etc at 1st call that may happen today.
Onmywayup am thinking of you we will both get through this I just keep thinking that in a few hours will be done. I don't have any surplus on SOA on benefits. Flo you will be nearly there also. By the way I,m the mum not the dad. I don't have any cc statements at all, really don't remember all what it was spent on over years. Bank statements tell a dreadful tale but can only hold my hands up to everything.
Stupid I know but keep thinking what if OR overrules BR and says its all my fault. Worried bout all sorts.0 -
That won't happen Jayk, you're insolvent xx
I am so sorry - why did I presumethat you're the Dad?! I think I just get little pictures of everyone in my mind's eye conjured up from usernames
What an amazing job you've done bringing up your children, they both sound like such a support to you.
You sound so well organised too - you're right, I don't think you could do anymore but don't drink too much juice - you'll need a little 'comfort' break otherwise!
Sending all my love to you Jayk - may it pass quickly!
