    Hello Flo and co

Well its done! OR was very nice and thanked me for being honest and that all the info they needed I had put in detail onto the SOA(so was worth all the sweat and tears). Has said that if I have someone to buy interest in car then I can keep it. Okay with income etc. Have received letter to send statements and last few wage slips and that's basically it. OR said unless may have a few questions will not be in touch as has all she needs to do the report and let creditors know. I was very open and honest with her and told how I got into such a state when previously I was doing well. All okay with cashminder account I had opened. Explained did not have the c.c. statements that to was okay.

So glad that's over- going to gather whats been requested and get posted and will also contact my bank today.

Hope you getting on okay with house move and sorting have you heard yet your interview. I was awake the crack of dawn this morning!

Thanked me for being open and co-operating fully. Feel quite drained really it catches up with you.

    Take care
  • Oh Jayk - I'm so relieved for you :j:j:j:j:j:j

Have been sitting here chewing my nails waiting to see your name appear and now it's all over for you :T

I can only imagine what time you must have got up this morning, did you sleep at all?
You must be very drained now, but elated also. Hope you're going to treat yourself to a glass (or 3) of wine, a hot bath, a good meal, soaps (?) and an early night.
Your hard work on the forms has paid off xx

Just wondering how onmywayup has got on?
I'm sort of paralysed today, the OR said it was only slightly possible she might call today so will have to get everything ready again 2mrw morning, just in case.

You've made my day though - I'm really happy for you - cheers! To the future!!:beer::beer::D:D:D

Hi have a question think I am being a bit thick but can anyone clarify.

Re car have had x 3 quotes value of car ranges from 1,500 thought to £1,800. (top price was put on SOA).
Told that if someone can buy the interest in car they have to put in writing to the OR and make an offer. OR says can keep car if an offer received.

Question is this- Would person make an offer for whole amount say £1,600 or is it the difference from £1,000 up to say £1,600.

How does all this work with car know it could not be in my name. My insurance is paid till later in year does that stay? Getting a bit mixed up with it.

Member of my family has asked about car but I cant give straight answer as dont fully understand it.

If cant be done then I fully accept wont keep the car.

    Any advice.

    Hi Flo

Thank you so much I have literally just put phone down as OR just called me back to clarify re my redundancy and where it will show which account etc. But as I have been open and said there's nothing left of it as I stated in interview will just send all the statements and last wage slip.

I do hope you get it over soon its on your mind all time. Hopefully we can move on bit by bit. still worms at you though in case you have forgotten anything ad something jumps up to bite you!

Hope Onmywayup is okay was thinking this morning of that- it does help in a weird way that others have same anxieties and dread of it all. Its very hard thing to do putting all your life onto a form and then speaking about it all, especially when buried head in sand for long time prior to taking such big step.

Yes will relax tonight. slept for about 2 hours and fussed about this morning. Small amount I have left in account allowed to keep as part of my income just been told. Let me know if you hear anything hope it is soon fr you

Thanks all for your support on my journey so far.
Jayk -I'm really glad that your interview went well for you.
Flo - I really do hope you here from your OR soon

Well I had part of my interview this morning. As said before my OR was really nice, very approachable and gave me plenty of time to explain how I had got to my situation. As Jayk said earlier it really helped that I had agonised over the forms as the OR said that he had most of the information he needed.

So why only part of my interview? Unfortunately due to a medical condition I require treatment that is not funded by the NHS and this is a fairly big expenditure on my SOA. MY OR has requested confirmation from my GP about this before he reviews my SOA any further :( . This wont be a problem as it is a genuine issue, however I just feel a little deflated as I hoped to have a better understanding of my situation going forward but as it stands I still know nothing more than the day of my petition.

On the plus side I managed 45minutes on the phone and survived!!

I just need to wait for a letter from the OR for my GP and then I can get things moving again. Once again a massive thank you to you all for your help so far, I promise to keep you all up to date.
  • I'm so glad for you that you have the worst part over and done with now :j:j
I AM sorry that you have to wait for the rest of it - it does fray the nerves a little doesn't it.....:o.....hope too that it doesn't affect your medical condition, stress is not a good thing is it?

Have you been on to your GPs surgery yet? Are they good? They can be notoriously slow at getting letters/reports out so I would get on to them to let them know the OR's letter is on the way if you haven't already, they may need you to sign a consent form before they do anything.

On the up side - please have a lovely evening - Dr Flo (I'm not by the way!) prescribes the same for you - nice bath, wine, food, soaps and bed early :D:D :beer:
Let us know how you go on

    Take care,
    Flo xxx

    Hi Itguy and Emmamumof2
welcome to Feb club and what a few weeks it has been. Sure emotions are all over the place glad its going okay for you itguy. We all have reasons for taking this step and none of it is easy. Still recovering from my OR phone interview this morning. Not sure if I would have been able to do a face to face interview was in enough of a state on the phone! You may be in luck and get a phone interview they are very busy so I was told!

Hope you keep checking in as we are all going through it at different stages. I hope once have sent documents requested that they don't find any more questions. Keep thinking what if I have left something out.

But have to say I really do feel weight has been lifted and I can start to breath a bit easier and think about other things than paperwork, calls and statements for a while!

Spring nearly her so we can all start to look forward. You dread the court but thats not so bad and I think everyone feels same re OR call.

We can all support each other and look forward it will be a different way of living but I for one will be slimmer ( no money to buy food) and healthier ( no car) !!!

    Take care
