So had weekend off visiting friend, long story very short another MH issues time. How have I got on with the 8 Stages of filing???

Stage 1 being removal of clothing items has been done.
Stage 2 is desk (closest to door) and remove chair (then I can't sit in it and procrastinate) DONE
Stage 3 is floor (all the other bits not between door and desk) DONE
Stage 4 is back of sofa DONE
Stage 5 is sofa seating bit
Stage 6 is window sill DONE
    Stage 7 is the cabinets
Stage 8 is a large drink

basically I have worked through every scrap of paper, taken action where necessary, then chucked it or created a pile for it in readiness for filing. I have 4 piles now:
3 outstanding bits awaiting for other people to get back to me with results so these are in the TO DO pile
    HOUSE FILING
    DH FILING
    ME FILING

I have a folder for instruction books, and put some in it
I have a sub divided folder for the house stuff

I am FED UP with paperwork. And in the midst of all this I discover that DH has not called the mortgage misers to have the overpayment deducted from the capital so it was taken from the DD payment this month PLONKER.

I have even attacked the work desk and discovered I have a desk and off loaded a load of crap to others.

The disadvantage of all this paperwork is that DH has been left to his own devices rather too much , the house is FULL of crisps, chocolate, sweeties, cake and other temptations. So I have been eating said foods rather more than I should have been.

I am now officially FAT - how do I know this well my boobs are getting to big for my dresses and my butt is wobbling. I need to get off bum and use gym more enthusiastically. So last night I went swimming again , and tonight I am going to try Body Balance again I am off for 2 days with work so will be swimming again Friday. Then I need to seriously think and plan so I take the right stuff with me to get into the classes straight from work every night. Or pack the gym bag with everything and not just take the easy swim option.

We have lost our lodger, so that is going to make a signifcant difference every week. Not sure how we are going to go about looking for a new one.

In other news, poorly in-law so trip planned to see them unexpectedly will use the rest of lodger money.

DH had a dentist visit to sort the temporary filling the old (now sacked we understand) dentist did. Was told he needs a post and a crown and that is £500 sir (in advance) so money, what money??????

It's got to be said that swimming is good in this weather and it is a very good form of exercise, not the easy option if you do plenty of lengths!

Shame about life eating away at the money. I think that's why most of us here dream of having an emergency fund with real money in it. Dreams eh?

That lodger was a fail, rule if someone says they will get back to you by a specific time and don't they are not good lodger material!

Ok collective wisdom .... How do you tackle scurrilous lies about you being repeated to your face by someone who definitely should know better and had irrefutable contemporaneous third party evidence to the contrary but didn't bother with it when these lies were said to them.
In repeating these I am upset, and do not understand what this person is aiming to achieve in their actions
In not asking where the evidence for this came from I am upset, it feels as if the liar has more gravitas than I and it is putting me on the defensive which is unreasonable as I have nothing to defend (other than my good name and reputation)
In not pointing out there is absolutely irrefutable third party evidence to the contrary I feel let down, and disappointed and again as if I have to defend myself ....
    Politics I cannot abide.

    I need a new job
