Antibiotics kicking in well, 2 more days left then we shall see. I have managed a whole 6 hours sleep last night, but still need more. Am slowly walking Doglet round the block does help with clearing the sludge out of your veins I always feel.

Glad to hear anti'b.s are working - was hoping I could avoid 'em but beginning to doubt it now as lung-function just ain't improving.. Could use the carp I'm coughing up to mix concrete. :(

Doglet went back to v.e.t. last night - he can stop 2 of the meds and keep on with the third for a while. Now to sort out diet as he needs more fiber so I am considering rice cooking, but he is so picky about it, after day 2 in the fridge he wont eat it so means this is an on going battle.

Good; sounds like the meds are doing their job. :)
Daft Dogs like their rice prepared with chicken stock, a couple of [drained] tins of sardines per mug of rice, and added veg (carrots & broccoli are the favourites, or sliced cabbage - anything except mushrooms or tomatoes - change the selection each batch).
I cook up four days' worth at once, but m'fridge is very chilly. Then re-heat in microwave or with added gravy - they won't eat it cold, and prefer some variation every day. Best incentive is that they know the chicken wings will not appear until their paella bowls are licked clean, lol. ;)

There has been bad news on the lodger front, he will no longer be with us from 01Jul, we are considering another but really needs to be week only person as we have a lot of people booked to see us over the coming 6 weekends .... we shall have to have a discussion and see what occurs. The money is making a big difference at present so we do need to consider all matters. Might ask current lodger if he has any colleagues who want to rent the room during the week......

Or advertise if current lodger can't help? I found Gum!ree more successful than the specialised room-renting sites when we had a lodger's place to fill - Good Luck!

..And very well done on your weight-loss and resolve to do the gym-thing - Best of Luck with the latter! :)

Hum, carpet cleaning seems to be a vast activity in my life at present. This is not good. Fortunately we had a loan of a carpet cleaner, but given the amount I have had to use this over the last few days I may have to consider investing in my own!

Need to sort out making a mortgage payment for this month and then looking to the finances for the next few months .... could be a bit tight if we have to pay for a few bits a pieces.

Had a quote for the rendering on the house to be redone. £900 plus another £700 for scaffolding ...... that is going on the one day list I think! will take a bit of time to sort that one out.

Still coping with health issues both near and far .... some is very worrying and some is very concerning. Some are both.

Hiho Hiho I think I will try a small swim ...

    Hi Missrlr, :hello:

Hope you enjoyed your swim! :) (Does that mean you've managed to shake off the lurgi?).

Is the carpet cleaning a result of sad Doglet accidents or are you just shifting furniture which exposes grubby bits?

Your rendering quote doesn't sound too bad if it includes removing the old stuff first, and all the clearing up.

    Good luck with health issues..

Swim was great, although I had rather hoped this would make me sleepy at bed time and not during the day. Can't quite get over the need for a 2-3pm snooze at present. I think I am on Spanish time!

It was a combination of Doglet accidents and carpets needing a freshen up, plus DH attempt to trample oily muck into the NEW stairs carpet which didn't really come out properly.

Odd thing is Doglet messed upstairs, I could understand downstairs near a door or similar but not upstairs .... Going to try and feed him earlier, but his little tummy can only cope with small bits at a time. Also a bit worried that some signs have appeared that indicate all is not well in the land of Doglet tummy. Have ordered recommended food and DH is now sqwacking about the cost of the food we have already (that he bought in bulk despite me saying this might not be the greatest idea in the current situation) and how Doglet is going to have to eat it. Well he is NOT going to eat it if is makes him poorly.

In other news perhaps the reason I am not sleeping is we have the biennial inspection due, which means I have been actively searching for the nasty worms that will come out of the woodwork at the slightest provocation when the inspectors arrive on site. And some people are just simply THICK no brains and frankly are oxygen thieves.

Boss man is winding himself up into a major tizz so I expect that to come to the fore on Thursday after the inspection .... deep joy.

Right my deadline for clearing and sorting the WHOLE of the study is 12Jul. Bearing in mind this is a double sofa, desk, window sill, floor and couple of cabinets all minimum 4 inches of paper this may take some time. So the plan is to clear a path to the shelving, find the piles of stuff under the loose topping (I tidied before) and then remove said piles into files, whilst in each file auditing contents and removing out of date ones.
Stage 1 being removal of clothing items has been done.
Stage 2 is desk (closest to door) and remove chair (then I can't sit in it and procrastinate)
Stage 3 is floor (all the other bits not between door and desk)
Stage 4 is back of sofa
Stage 5 is sofa seating bit
    Stage 6 is window sill
    Stage 7 is the cabinets
Stage 8 is a large drink

I think number 8 should appear between each other number on your list (ie: 1,8,2,8,3.. etc). :o
..That's if your paperwork piles look anything like mine. :rotfl:

    (Good Luck! ;)).
