No free tickets, DH poorly but house is in one piece and tenant likes it, so fingers crossed long may it continue. had to but some paracetamol for DH unplanned so not great and some how ice cream came home with me - ooopsie!
Nice time with friends last night, and a few drinks, beautiful day here although hot and sticky making so had to eat some ice cream!
Finished spread sheet re-gig and put in request for escrow account release so hoping this comes through this month, some will go to DH debts and some will go to the emergency fund.
Doglet spent today alternately sun snoozing and collapsing indoors panting and lapping water. He does like his sun time, but finding the temperature change from earlier in the week to now is a bit dramatic.
Tomorrow is a shopping day, so I am now going to spend a little time meal planning - deep joy

That sounds like an okay weekend. Especially the ice-cream :o I love B&J and miss it, I only get my fix of caramel choo choo when my son brings it round for me [or when it's on special offer and I know I deserve it, hmm wonder why I'm a little overweight....]

Bless doglet in the heat, I feel sorry for the animals when it's so hot. The Bear just lies on a cool stone slab in the shade and the Captain rests in his stable munching hay.

Well yesterday was RUBBISH - had a thick head, gungy throat, grumbly belly and general short temper (not a good mix) so thought about not coming into work and then thought I was too awake to get back to sleep and most of this was lack-of-sleep-induced so harrumphed into work about 15 mins late and left 15 mins early - really really really need to find some enthusiasm from somewhere - I am just not being inspired at all.

Put in my request for the balance of funds to be paid into my account so hoping that will get there before I am off on holiday in 2 weeks - we have decided part will be for emergency fund and part will be for debt repayment. If we can get on holiday with the money for that in place and a chunk paid of the debt it will be a bit of a boost psychologically.

Had to go shopping last night, managed to get a load of whoopsied cheese and some meatballs which will be great for a single dinner (£1.20 from £4!) managed to get the food for the week to £43 which included £5 of non planned whoppsied stuff!

Still don't feel great today, sure I am brewing a stinker of a cold just in tie for Friday and I am on another mega long day to the Midlands tomorrow so another early night and hoping to sleep better.

Well drive there and back as (thankfully) uneventful and there is a load more mileage money to be in the back account, an unexpected bonus month on mileage money so currently up to £260! Biiiingo!

last day in office for the week this week so trying to sort out the suddenly 'urgent' issues that have appeared in my inbox overnight!

Also now have to go and ask for a replacement part for some equipment - £500 so there will be some unhappy people in the accounts today!

Oh had a small T3sc0 trip as no food made it from the house to work with me today :o - lots of whoopsied bargains. Somehow I spent £10  but have 3 meals for us from that and more drugs for DH and I as I have definitely developed a snuffle

Overall none to bad, just need to make sure the lunch time trot to T3sc0 is not a daily habit

Cameras down throat and X-rays are not fun ways to start a weekend, but catch up drinks with friends makes up for this.

Not a lot more to report, I have to wait until Tuersday to know about the money side of life and I am sooooooooooo impatient - just want to know the answer so I know of the debt is being knocked down. Had a long chat with DH yesterday sat in the sun having a cheeky pub grub late lunch. I said I found the whole stress of unknown with his job really unsettling and he admitted it was not good for him either. Having managed to get him to a place where he is acknowledging the debts and trying to do something about it - the world seems to be conspiring against us to get that 5 year plan under control.
If the money thing works out I may be able to breath a bit knowing I have a slush fund behind me and him, and a dent in the debt. Part of me knows he is still hanging on in there to win the blinking lottery but even though he is still in it (I know a waste of money!) the chances of him winning it are zilch. It is not a sustainable plan, it is gambling and I am risk adverse with money anyway.
Right enough, I need to get on with something more productive, I may changing into some gardening clothes and raid the front garden - we are supposed to be dragging this house into order for next weekend when we are preparing to leave for hols - which means as D&J are housing sitting for us we need to get all the paperwork etc sorted, filed and away plus cleaning and so on, refreshing loo roll stocks and hand soap, plus the mountain of kitchen roll they eat stocked up. Oh and washing to make sure the place is not honking when we get back (nothing worse than a stinky laundry basket festering for days).
As we had a notice from the police about bogus workers coming to ask if you want insulation whilst another goes round the back and nicks stuff I am being very vigilant with the doors and windows - means the house is a lot more stuffy so nasty niffs can build up ......

So managed to obtain an additional £260 from expenses this month (had to drive the miles though!) so got claim in today and hope the money hits the account tomorrow.

DH rang up to say car fix was DOUBLE (Yep that is x2, twice, one plus one times) the expected cost. He plonked it on the CC so it seems one step forward and two more backwards ..... debt busting now notched down quite considerably to pay this latest bill. Bang goes expenses and bang goes money from escrow account. GRRRRRRRRR

Doglet was also not well this AM - so had to get a dose of medicine - need to buy more, last time I bought it online the shelf life was a shocking 8 weeks!!! and the costs for postage meant I saved about 50p so going to buy this from vets.

Trying to get washing all sorted for packing this weekend. We are volunteering at charity event this weekend so no time then to sort it out. DH is already off to work as he has OT (yippee) needs it if the car bills are anything to go by!!!

I have turned OFF the alarms - I am on HOLIDAY as of 1730 tonight and I am going to enjoy each and every second of it. I am currently fighting with 2 computers simultaneously as T0mt0m cannot understand logging into different accounts on a mac apparently! Who says girls can't multi-task and do IT stuff? Actually it has all nearly ended up being chucked out the window twice so far and that is only in the last hour!

Sure enough there was a super mega urgent has to be done right now cant wait thing in the inbox this am - to which the reply was "read the email I sent you yesterday" some people are so blinking thick!

I still have to pack, apparently now have to unmake the bed I made as D&J are bringing their own bedding (grr grumble waste of time etc), clean the bathroom, check the dog food supplies and generally make sure all the documents D&J may need are available and in one place .... DH has done his last shift so he can be on some of these duties irrespective of him being "tired" like I am not having run about the place like a loony for the past 2 weeks.

Doglet knows something is up so I am going to have to pack and put it all in the car ASAP so he doesn't see it otherwise he will try and pack himself into the bags, get stressed, have an upset tummy and generally mope and be unhappy til we go which means I will be left feeling guilty and unhappy.
