Hey Lyn, may I have the recipe for the "Tiffin" eggs please m'dear, they sound delicious x0
-
Hi LAINEY I'll post the recipe later today, I'm just off to walk the Cookie Monster and then off to the surgery to collect a booklet. They wanted to talk to me about my cholesterol being slightly more than it ought and the nice GP is leaving me a booklet. Nothing to worry about and it hasn't changed in the last 2 blood tests, all else is fine and normal. Have invested in some of the very expensive spread with plant stanols in it!!! so much for me not listening to advertising!!!0

Gosh Lyn, I would have thought it would be down with you having such a good diet. I do think they keep lowering the marker, ask Ruthie. It used to be 5 and now, at our surgery, they want it to be 4 or below. I am sure you will be fine.
Enjoy your walk.

Ooh that does sound nice Lyn, thank you x
Much better day here today with lots of sun and blue skies, met up with my other SIL and had lunch together. We tried two places but they were both packed so ended up at the large GC just outside Cambridge, food was just ok but it was lovely to have a good catch up and it was four o'clock before I knew it.
I did stop off at the farm shop on the way home and picked up some steak for tomorrow night as a weekend treat, its already marinating in the fridge.
Starry night out there but certainly turned colder.
Love to all x0 -
Quick one from me following a long stressful day . Left early this morning and got back at 7pm just in time to collapse in a chair to watch Monty Don's small spaces . I found the young man with anxiety and self esteem issues very inspiring and it was a joy to watch his mood improve with the magic of a lottie which was quite a challenge . Very good therapy there .
Lyn I'm sure all will be fine , as I already said you sound full of life and a different woman . I'm shocked missus at the being sucked in by advertisingThanks for the recipe and also Lainey for asking for it . I'll wait to hear your verdict when you've eaten it tomorrow . It sounds a good one for the two veggie daughters and something I'd enjoy myself . We all love both cashew nuts and sesame seeds and it looks quick and easy x
Candlelight hope Himself has a better night tonight and the pharmacy were able to advise , if they couldn't I'd say a GP appt will help . x
Lainey sounds like a nice day out . The sun was out and made a difference here but like yourself we have another clear starlit sky and low temps again . I don't mind as I love starlit skies and we have very little light pollution so a joy if somewhat chilly to stand and stare .
Hoglet I love to watch thunderstorms but hate having to be out in them . They always make me think of Dear Docky . Don't think I'll be heading your way during the season .
Enjoy your family weekend Floss .
Hope everyone else is ok . I'm tired now and will head to bed shortly .
BTW Apologies for lack of speech marks in the quote and to dear Terry for omitting a T in his name . I have had some punctuation keys playing up again . Randomly they're back today including my much loved exclamation marks - I can hear the groans
Sleep tight all bed is calling .
polly xIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.0 -

Thanks for the recipe Mrs LW, they sound great, I'll give them a try.
This may sound like a daft question but as I don't have a blitzer type thingy will breadcrumbs just sort of chopped up with a knife work. Can honestly say I've never made anything with breadcrumbs for the very reason that I have no way of making them...:o
(I feel really daft asking that but hey ho :rotfl:)'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
Useful reminder - Monty's Don's Big Dreams/Small Spaces.
Must get up Iplayer again today. It's one of the tv programmes I find I have to watch that way these days - as I see it there in the paper and tick that I want to watch it and then get stymied (again) by the fact that it's a different tv programme over here and probably yet another sports one.
It does happen quite frequently that I tick a tv programme to watch in the tv magazine (that comes with newspaper) - and then find it's a different one here and I'm having to "Iplayer" it and watch later.
Does anyone know a way to either:
- get Freeview to show me the same version of BBC2 or ITV that I'd be seeing elsewhere in the country?
- or quick way to find what alternative time the BBC/ITV channels here in Wales will show the programme listed instead of "this area's different programme"?
It does often seem to be a sport programme on instead when I go to switch on the relevant channel for "my programme" - so there's nothing for me to watch (as I don't like sport).0 -
KARCHER if you have a cheese grater you can (be careful with your fingers though) rub bread through that to get perfectly acceptable breadcrumbs. Given that they are being mixed into the carrots which will be moist as they're cooked chopping up bread into small pieces should mean it mixes in pretty well anyway!0
