It's an odd day on here when we have to both be sad for Lainey and her family and wish things go smoothly and aren't too much of an ordeal and also be over the moon happy that Fuddle gets the keys to her new home and begins the first day of her wonderful secure (in the best way) life. For very different reasons you will both be in my heart and thoughts today my friends xxx.0

Thoughts are with you, Lainey and fuddle xx0

Lainey: today will be hard for you but you will be surrounded by a loving family and friends and all the love and support that your virtual family here are wrapping round you.
Tomorrow and the following days will be harder, but we will still be here for you.

Thank you my friends, so very kind of you all to be thinking of me.
Well, we certainly gave our darling Mum a suitably celebratory send off for such a well lived life, obviously there was tears but there was also so many happy memories. All of my cousins were there, we shared many stories of when we were kids, the happy family picnics, Christmas's in our respective houses, such things that no loss can take away as they are embedded in our hearts.
My darling brother did the most heartfelt tribute, there were poems read by grandchildren and favourite music played, as so many people remarked, it was very my "Mum", after all she had planned it all xx0 -
Much love, Lainey xx0

So glad it went as well as possible Lainey. I hope you will begin to be able to relax a little bit now x0

Evening everyone, we're back from DD1 with DD1 here now and very nice that is too!!! The play last night was hilarious, we all laughed until our sides hurt! it was total slapstick and worthy of Brian Rix as a farce, very entertaining. We had snow flurries this afternoon when we walked Cookie, it's colder outside today than I've known it for a while as far south as we are, the gritter went along the main road through the village when I was going down to the shop for a few bits and pieces and that's almost unheard of. We'll see tomorrow if we actually get snow although I doubt it will lay if we do. They have gone down to the pub and I'm sitting beside the stove and waiting to cook supper for us all, they'll give me a 10 minute phone call before they leave which will be plenty of time to cook the pasta and reheat the Bolognese sauce for supper. I've made us a nice mixed salad too so I'm looking forward to eating this evening. Hope you are all staying warm and snug in this colder weather, look after yourselves, Lyn xxx.0

Which play was it Lyn?
Been thinking of fuddle and her family - shame to have to move house in weather like they've got up there! Or perhaps they aren't moving just yet.0 -
It was 'The play that went wrong' written and performed by the same troupe that wrote and performed 'Peter Pan goes Bad' on the TV at Christmas. We laughed until our ribs ached, pure farce, brilliantly done and so very entertaining. Should any of you ever get the chance it's well worth the ticket money!!!
Fuddle isn't in yet, they are having some work done on the new house during this week and I think will be moving at the end of the week, unless I've got it wrong. All I know is it will be a very happy day the first time they have their own things in, can close the door and STAY!!!0
