I don't know it FUDS as Hindhead is not a good run from here and over in Surrey but as we're localish I'll keep my eyes open at boot fairs and in charity shops and if one similar comes up (I had a gander at E.Bay) it's yours!0

Sounds like a good way to spend the day Fuds, planning your new home and accumulating a quality wardrobe
Enjoying a quiet day at home with darling Capt S, the past week has been tough in many ways and feel a real need to recharge my batteries, plus my sleep has been somewhat erratic which has left me feeling like a wet rag. So the sofa it is, complete with books, sleeping dogs on my feet and a slice of tea loaf with raspberry jam.
We have made a good start on funeral arrangements, it certainly helps that DM made her wishes clear and wrote them all down for us so no guesswork needed.
The HA have given us four weeks to clear the bungalow, a start has been made and we are all meeting over there tomorrow to sort through what is to be kept and what will be recycled, it's tough to let so much go but the practicality is that we all have our own homes so simply can't accommodate everything. We will steadily work our way through it all and do the best we can.0 -
Lainey When we cleared our Mum's house, we gave a lot of things to the shops which support the hospice who cared for Mum, just taking a few items each.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Love the quilt Fuddle! I'm in the middle of one very similar in fabrics but 4" squares, all done by machine though so not as time consuming. I'm making hexagon English pieced patchwork cushion covers too. Rest up x"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Hexagon?! I adore the look of hexiquilts but I know my limits. Go there Pooky I'm recoiling in horror at tge thought of the work and patience required.
Lyn it's ok about picking one up, i got onethanks for looking out for me though. I did fanvy Purbeck pottery but thought it would remind me of what I lost. No good harking back eh?
Lainey that sounds like heaven. We mustn't forget that my relaxing consists of 2 bickering preteen girls! DH is cooking rice to go with the tagine. It worked!
Reminds me... Monna? Do you know what Isle of Wight pudding is? It's regularly on eldest's school lunch menu but she won't try it until sbe knows what it is. Im under orders to bend your ear.0 -
I post from my bed having been rigged up to monitors in A&E since the early hours.
I took a turn for the worst. I have pnemonia on my right lung. First time both, second time left and now right again! But I'm home as not severe enough to need IV antibiotics. I have both types of ab's in tablet form. They're good.
I asked the doctor why and she said once I've had it I will now be susceptible especially because of the damage it caused my lungs the first time but agreed that stress wouldn't help at all. I just don't know how to manage my stress levels without medication.
We had no one to look after the girls so I have been on my own. I've done it before, it's no biggy but it's an awful experience that takes a lot of strength to get through it without support. I am shattered!
But I'm home. DH bought me a sewing magazine so going to immerse myself in that.0 -
Poor Pickle, I'm glad you're home again though because hospitals are very necessary for diagnosing and fixing folks who have pneumonia but home is more necessary for them relaxing and actually getting healed isn't it? Hope you pick up really quickly, what a good thing you decided not to carry on at the charity shop! Hopefully once your house move is over and you can be settled and contented in your own little home your health will be a bit better, look after yourself love, xxx.0

Fuds, ask your GP if they can refer you for some non-medication therapies to help you learn to manage your stress, also Ruby Wax's new book on Mindfulness is very good (and under £4 in most supermarkets). Lie back, relax, and let everyone run around after you!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
