  • Hello all,

Pleased you survived the dentist Lyn, you should be able to enjoy your dinner this evening.

Good to hear from you Polly, I do so hope things will become easier for you and your DD.

Hoglet, spring is around the corner for you, and we are almost in Autumn. I love the changing seasons but I am loath to see the end of summer at the moment. We are off on our holidays a week on Saturday so I would like summer to last until the end of that week.

Lainey I hope Mum is comfortable. What a good idea of your's to order the small jewellery boxes. I have put aside jewellery for my 2 DGDs and DD to have when I have gone, but it would be so much nicer in a proper jewellery box. did you order them from A*azon. I just want to make sure they have jewellery that I know they will like. DGS is having the carriage clock presented to Himself for long term service and a silver cigarette case he inherited from my lovely grandfather. I know that isn't pc now, but he could sell it if he needed money or keep it as a keepsake of Himself.

You know Lainey it is good to have the time to make your wishes known, not everyone has that, and I don't think it is morbid at all. I am sure you must be looking forward to finishing work now, when do you actually finish?

We had rain through the night as well and this morning. It is dry now but I did have to pop some washing in the TD.

We are off out to lunch tomorrow for a carvery with my 2 sisters and their husbands. My younger sister is off back to America on the 25th of this month so this will be the last time we see them until Christmas I expect.

DGD and her BF have booked a weeks holiday in Rome for the beginning of October, so she is walking around with a smile on her face. She is looking after Flora whilst we are away.

Take care all and stay safe

    Much love

    Hello my lovely friends,

Just popping on to say that Mum was taken into hospital early this morning, the pain had got very bad and she was struggling to breathe so called an ambulance.

Have spent most of the day in A&E whilst she had various scans etc and the upshot of it all is that the tumour has enlarged so it's now pressing against her bowel and preventing it from working properly. The choice we had was leave it and it would be a matter of days or risk an operation to fix a bag so the bowel could empty? She has opted for an op which will be going ahead around 10pm once they have got her blood clotting sufficiently as she takes warfarin. So just popped back home to shower & change as been at hospital since early hours.
Please keep my precious Mum in your prayers and thoughts, if love alone would work she will have no problem.
    Lainey xx

  • Good morning all,

After a murky start the sun has come out and I am just washing a couple of jackets ready for our holiday in case we need them (hope not)

We had a lovely carvery lunch yesterday with both my sisters and BILs. lunch was good and everyone was on form, so lots of laughs as well.

Lainey, I hope you are taking things steady now that Mum is alittle more comfortable. Make sure you eat properly and take some rest. Emotionally you will be all over the place, and being in the hospital all day is tiring, so if Mum is asleep try to sit back in the chair and rest at the same time. Lavender candle lit each night for you and Lyn's little one.

Lyn have a wonderful time in Germany, I know timing is a bit out but Ruthie is on the other end of the phone if you want to talk to her, the hugs will have to wait until you arrive home.

Take care everyone and stay safe
