FTM I am so sorry to hear you have been poorly, and hope they sort it for you quickly. Something you could do without anyway.
I am sure Simon and the girls are looking after you very well and Sam must be a good help to you as well.
I expect you feel a little better just having your hair cut and coloured, particularly if you were having to lie down so much.
Look after yourself and I hope the doctors resolve it quickly for you.
Much love

Glad you had a nice birthday, Mrs LW
Oh dear - DD got a "no" from her audition. Not a surprise really, she is very young and it was her first one,. She is very philosophical about it today, but was desperately upset last night. Another 7 to go.
Parents evening for DS tonight, where I have to do battle with the science teacher to put him in for the higher paper GCSE. The school want all of his group to do the foundation paper only. I think it is so the school can lush up their percentage A*-C rate (the highest mark achievable on the foundation paper is a C)but with a bit of effort DS could get a B and I want him to have the chance. We will get him tuition if needs be.
I feel like I have done nothing but work for weeks and weeks, tomorrow is my day off and I am going to take it.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Oh VJsMUM poor lass must have been so dissapointed, let's hope she gets some offers from the other interviews she attends. I know when my youngest was being interviewed for med school she wasn't going to go for her last interview at all because she was called very late, in February if I remember rightly and she said it was just a formality they didn't want her really! Some slick talking got her to go and they offered her a place on the day which she accepted, keep your DDs hopes up, I'm sure the offers will come, Lyn xxx.0

VJsMum wouldn't we do anything to save our children from rejection? Whether it is job related or boyfriend/girlfriend related. It is a hard lesson to learn when you are young but something they have to go through just like we did.
Another thing I hated was when they were babies and had to have their injections. I would willingly have had it for them .
Good luck to your DD for the next one, positive thoughts from here.

Good afternoon all,
Well it was a really murky start to the day, but now we have a beautiful blue sky, I hope it lasts.
FTM how are you today, hope the pain is easier. I am sure everyone is looking after you. Hugs to you and Fern and Iris.
MLW how is it having 2 young people in the house again? I know we encourage our children to go out into the big world, but I do miss my 2 daughters living at home. I am sure they don't, being 45 and 41 respectively.
AOL how are you doing? Has that chest infection gone at last?
SM and Kate are you OK? I expect you are both really busy.
Not much going on here, having hair cut tomorrow and popping to Sister's afterwards. Brother in law has some wood which will be suitable to repair our fence so Himself will be busy if the rain holds off. He has just put a new piece of felt on the shed roof and I told him I would be holding a watching brief from the kitchen window because he worries me when he goes up step ladders. Anyway he was fine.lol
If I don't come back have a good weekend everyone.
Much love
