Childcare Costs ! Stuck !

Save? You try saving with 4 daughters to support and still do even though they are married!! Who has paid the deposits on their homes? Who has bought and maintained their cars? Who has funded their education instead of landing them with massive debts before they start work? Who buys clothes for the grandchildren? Who has paid for four weddings? We do and have done.
Without our help all 4 would be living in rented properties lining the pockets of landlords, and having to repay education debts for evermore.
Besides which we do have savings but are careful to ensure that they never go over £9,999!!
The tax payer has payed for all that hypocrite! By your own twisted logic if you hadn't spent that money on your daughters you would have it now to pay your own way. Each additional payment of benefit money you recieve is more money the tax payer has given so your daughters can have things most normal people don't get!
Maybe everyone should spend money on their childrens cars, skip student loans, pay deposits on their houses. Seriously? That's not normal, you've done nothing but deprive yourself of capital so you can get your dirty hands on all that benefit money.
No one can be this deluded, got to be a troll, no?0 -
Yet again [STRIKE]Andy[/STRIKE] Roto has managed to derail a thread, and make it all about him.

So you work to support your family, just like I have done all my life too, except that because I was born in the 70s, I find myself with extremely high cost mortgage and childcare. I highly suspect I earned proportionally more than you did, but that my mortgage is about 5 times and no more what yours was. You could support your family on your own salary, i couldn't, not because of my job, but because of the cost of life....oh, and the pension I am paying towards every month...and the investments I am making for my retirement...and the critical illness cover I pay towards because unlike you, I don't expect the states to keep me in luxury when I retire.... Unlike your own children, I don't rely on my daddy to keep me going and I am raising my children to be self-reliant. All I needed is a few years of help with childcare costs, which I have more than already paid for by now.
Really, you don't have much to gloat about according to your standards. Your children might not be claiming tax credits from the tax payers, instead, they rely on you, who gets your money from the tax payers...0 -
Maybe he won the lotto or something? In the words of the fab Jim Royal NANNY MY AR........Bum!!! lol. Seem like its got out of hand, if we had an apple, someone would have an orchard syndrome!!!! At least the OP has had some well meaning replies. People don't know what goes on behind closed doors and shouldn't judge. If she was claiming IS and writing a thread about how to get off it and into employment, she would still get grief!!!!!The feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
Also rotoguy said that he wouldnt employ a woman because all they do is have babies.
Obviously that doesnt extend to Nannies.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -
As usual he has slunk off without bothering to come back and explain the inconsistencies.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0

I did thank you.
Ok here's my bit - When I posted on here I did wonder as I've seen the mob mentality that can be born as a result of someone not being happy with another. Hence my trying to make my original post very simple and to the point. I didn't talk about how I was married when I undertook my degree (which, by the way I pay for and it was when Universities were able to charge - so at a cost of £3k per year plus loans - if you will allow me food and a roof - leaves me paying back around £18k - none of which I complain about - infact I am eternally grateful I had the opportunity to go to Uni) - which now on my extortionate wage I pay back a large amount to my country. Prior to me undertaking my degree I worked full time from the age of 18 and STILL continued to do so through uni - paying taxes (you will allow me the benefit of reduced tax due to low wages :-). Then through absolutely no choice I was left with one child and one on the way! Nice! Are we all keeping up?
I then, after only three months, get a job in a post which I could only have dreamed of. I'm now in a position where not only will my wage INCREASE each year but I am also preparing for promotion which could take me up to £35K +. After only three months I Left my baby in order to a) get the hell off benefits (I had to claim for 6 months - unemployable as past the 25 weeks in pregnancy - feel free to start a debate about employing pregnant people) and b) to be able to be a good mum who provided for her kids and was able to do nice things with them - you will afford me that luxury yes ?????
As it happens I DID call tax credits and guess what (this will really hack off the haters) I WILL have EVERYTHING still covered ! Now I would ordinarilly have just said Oh thanks, yes i called and all will be well, but having been pre-judged and discriminated against for WORKING I thought what the hell - let's rub it in !!!!!
Rotowhateveryournameis - Your situation sounds awful. And it would appear you have worked very hard all your life! It must have been lovely for your family to reap the rewards - but I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth !
I worked, I bettered myself, and here I am :-) The end x0 -
I can't understand how you would still get the full amount covered? You can't claim childcare above £200 for one child...so the maximum you can get is £140 childcare costs paid. You would not get £90 per week in tax credits on £25k.0

There are two children. It is made up of both the childcare and child tax element - so in theory it isn't all childcare - but obviously I'd use the remainder to cover costs.
I assure you - they have all my correct details and these are the calculations given.
Thanks everyone again for trying to stick to the point :-)
