Childcare Costs ! Stuck !
Comments

so why on 16k a year, do i have to pay for your kids, that the fathers dont pay for?
you and the fathers chose to have them. why do you expect me to pay for t them?
Have you ever considered asking yourself how in any way your crass comments are helping the OP? If you have an issue with how the benefits system works find out who your MP is and go and rant to them, ask them to stop tax breaks for millionaires too whilst you are there.0 -

You're welcome - there are some very knowledgeable & helpful people on this site, unfortunately there are also some complete idiots who you just have to learn to ignore:rotfl:0 -
OP - have you modelled it on the entitledto calculator? You may well find that you get assistance with rent/CT if you are paying more in childcare costs.
It's all pretty much swings and roundabouts until you're either earning a fortune or you stop paying childcare.
I'm a single Mum too, it's not easy, but you make the best of it don't you. Good on you for working!
But the rest of us are picking the tab up when you claim for the cost of child care.
I think I have the answer to the number of children in care that are not beign adopted.
Why don't the councils advertise the amount of money that is available to the adopting parent(s).
If I was female and in my 20's, I wouldn't want to actually have children but instead adopt a dozen or so. I'd be loaded especially if the childcare costs were covered and I was able to earn £25,000 a year on top!!0 -

Millionaires are probably the ones that own and run businesses that employ people in this country.
Don't you think they deserve a 'break' from the hard work they do for this country?0 -

I think I'll ignore the latter part of your post
It's far better to be working than not, for many reasons. On £25K you cannot pay the essential living costs and childcare, it just isn't possible. Once the OPs kids are at school full time, the childcare costs will diminish considerably and she will be able to continue working, potentially working her way up the career ladder and earning more. That's a far better long term position to be in for all parties concerned than to jack in work.0 -
maybe the op did not want to be in that position my daughter is in the same position at least they are working.no one expects people to pay for their children the goverment makes the rules if anything have a go at the lazy father who pays jack for the children not the mother.so why on 16k a year, do i have to pay for your kids, that the fathers dont pay for?

You are so incredibly rude it's unreal!
Do you actually even work to warrant the 'why do I have to pay for your kids' comment?0 -

For moths and months I have read your self righteous drivel on this board-you are so rude and unbelievably patronising it's unreal.

Could the difference in entitliment be because of the income limits being reduced maybe? No other advice really but i know its all changing soon? Could be that x Wouldn't worry too much, like others said try a different calculator or, divide the figure you got by weeks that are left till April, 11 or 10 i think it is now. If not maybe speak to CAB or DWP, they may give you a more accurate figure. Good luck xxThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
OP, call tax credits and ask them to give you an estimate based on the changes in April. They have access to the new calculator (which isn't available online). I did this and was given a figure based on the information I provided them with. Good luck.0
