I did a bad thing. I left some chewed gum (in a wrapper) in the bottom of my veeery expensive leather handbag. Needless to say, everything's stuck and icky in there.
Is there something I can use to get it off without damaging the bag? The gum itself isn't there anymore, but there is a sticky residue.0 -

Might be worth sticking your bag in the freezer! No I've not gone barking! Basically the elements in chewing gum go hard if you freeze them. They usually just break off in hard bits. Hope that helps?0 -

Thats what I was going to suggest too!
If you are worried about putting your bag in the freezer you could just put something frozen onto the gum to get it to harden?Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I was about to suggest the same as well.0

:j Yep - freezer trick too. I used to work in a lab where we tested cleaning products on stains and the standard method for the removal of chewing gum was to put things in the freezer.
