I heard that if you put talcum powder on to the chewing gum it should get un sticky and more easier to clean off Good luck0

my lo stood in chewing gum and managed to put it on the car seat - any removal ideas?
I know your supposed to freeze it but the seat won't fitFat and proud lol0 -
Could you maybe use an ice cube ?
Hold this against the chewing gum to harden it before you try to scrape it off. You could even use an ice cube inside an ice cube bag and then not wet the seat.
Just an idea !0 -
try cup boiling water rest the cup on the gum when gum melts take it off
this will have to be done several times.....some one else may come up with a better idea.....when u get near the end use a stiff brush0 -

Not very old style, but I bought a specialist spray for removing chewing gum, and it simply dissolved it and then we blotted with tissue. Can't remember what it was called, but I think we got it in the supermarket.
DS fell asleep with gum in his mouth and then managed to get it squashed under him and onto the car seat! We tried ice cubes and dry cleaning fluid etc, but the spray was the only thing that seemed to work.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Try peeling the majority off after you've frozen it using the ice-cube method.
Clean up the rest with nail polish remover and a rough cloth.Good, clean fun....MFW #11 2015 £7657 / £88800 -

If the ice cubes don't work and you can't get the seat in the freezer, try an aerosol can of pipe freezer from B & Q. But try it on a bit of upholstery that is out of sight first - depends on the colour of your seats.0
