Wow. A couple of days ago, I found a few tiny runner and French beans.

Today, I picked two meals' worth, including two runners that were almost 12" long!!!!

    Whee! :-)

I'm jealous again. Mine are flowering at last though. :)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I'm jealous too, my last attempt french beans this year are just breaking through and the longest runner is 2".
The mice have eaten my peas over the last 48 hours, so one last go with an early one, if I have any left, must go through seed box soon.

My butternut squash has grown loads of the last few days, I have told it it's 2 months too late but I don't think it listened to me.

    I've got leafcutter bees. :D

One of which was investigated by a brave spider that has occupied one of the other holes:

And a smaller one of some sort:

Well pleased. Even if there are lumps missing out of my runner bean leaves. :)

Yay, the courgette glut has started!

Now I don't know what to do with them all :rotfl:

How many courgette plants do you have LE?

My latest courgette pickings ended up chopped and used in a stir fry.

I only had one surviving plant so don't have many courgettes, which is just as well as I'm not overly fond of them anyway. :D

MBE did you make your home for the leaf cutter bees or did you buy it? I want to make my garden more insect friendly. I do have a lady bird house although nothing went in it! Don't know what I am doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.:)
