I was drinking tea as I read that! I've cleaned the mess up now :D

I've never had a single bee use one I was given a few years ago, I'm sure the holes are the wrong size, what size drill bits did you use MBE? And how's the pond looking? the plants should have grown quite a bit by now.

Well done on the yellow tom, I wonder if greenhouse plants aren't as badly affected as out door crops timing wise rather than crop size.

Tonight I sprayed the bindweed at the back of the stumpery and accidently sprayed it over the fence too  onto the massive pile of it next door.

I have some new pots from Morrisons in which to plant stuff. What shall I try?

You could start off some cauliflower or purple sprouting broccoli ready to go in when you dig the spuds up. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I didn't bake that - I'm not quite that bad!

I did make some rhubarb and ginger jam today, but I'm not entirely happy with it. I think it's a bit overdone so it's too thick. Still, as a first attempt I don't think it's too bad. :o

The big holes are 10mm, then 8mm and 6mm I think.

The pond's looking great. :D Although perhaps a little crowded. :o Too dark to be taking photos now - I might remember tomorrow if you're lucky. :p

Hello! Hope everyone is doing well. I'm not sure that I believe reports about the rain stopped, at least here is lovely Glasgow I don't think it will EVER stop. But then it does always rain here.

    BUT look at this:

These are my first ever home grown Chantenay carrots!! A bit small, but very exciting and tasty :D

Jealous of that cute little tomato MrBE, wish I has space to grow some. I have one plant on my windowsill indoors in a stupidly small pot, we shall see if I get a tomato or two.

  • For those of you getting plenty of flowers on your tomato plants but no tomatoes forming try tickling the flowers with a small paint brush to pollinate them and you should get lucky.

It also helps pollination in the greenhouse if you raise the humidity by wetting the floor (not the plants) when the sun puts in a rare appearance.

MrB, why would you eat a pound coin? :p
