Jealous of that cute little tomato MrBE,
Good.I'm jealous of those carrots so we're even.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Well my day consisted of sanding and undercoating the french doors at my sons place, much more wood than I thought especially as he has a window above it. I gave myself plenty of breaks to stop and prune, water, feed his plants and generally stick my nose into his garden. Lunch by his [STRIKE]lake[/STRIKE] pond was very nice watching dragon flies, frogs and counting his fish.
I could have got the top coat done too but didn't want to deprive him of that job on his day off tomorrow;)
I did notice his strawberries are very late and his tomatoes are only just in flower! he's only a 10min walk away but does have even more trees than me blocking the sun. What he doesn't have is spiders, which isn't fair as I don't like them and he isn't bothered by them at all. I made sure of that when he was little
My butternut squash has grown loads of the last few days, I have told it it's 2 months too late but I don't think it listened to me.
My brolly courgette is much happier, it's was so dry I had to water it todaythat's how it should be. Have a few females on there so hopefully I will get a courgette next Month.
Everything is still looking pale, even the autumn raspberry leaves, hope the feed given on Monday gets into them soon. Not only is everything behind it looks anaemic too!0 -

That could explain it, measured mine and they're all 14-18mm and glued in from what I can make out.
I'll ask hubby to make me one I think.0 -

With it equally hot here, I'm not very motivated.
Was supposed to be cooler wednesday/thursday/friday isn't it?

Morning everyone, well I finally have tomatos turning read-not quite enough to make a meal yet though. The bush ones out the front of my house are doing the best-they were free with gardeners world magazine, muskota?
Have one early stupice that is read, but I think there is something wrong with it, maybe greenback?
One single, solitary, rather sad looking early galina tom ready in the greenhouse
Dr Caroline have started to catch up now, quite big toms
In other, non tom related news, the cucumbers are doing ok-rather straggly looking and have taken over the black currant. One has died too but I can see small cucs coming now-rather late though; but my first success with cucumbers so still
And french beans and mange tout planted last weekend are starting to come up..
The rest of the garden has also perked up and is enjoying the sunshine. But according to the forecast they need to make the most of it as after next monday we are predicted at least 2 weeks of rain again0 -

Wow. A couple of days ago, I found a few tiny runner and French beans.
Today, I picked two meals' worth, including two runners that were almost 12" long!!!!
Whee! :-)I'm broke, not poor. Poor sounds permanent, broke can be fixed. (Thoroughly Modern Millie)
