With that area, I would put in 2 or 3 plants. It's a big pot and they should be fine in there.
You may have to trim them a little however.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Ok I will try that, thank you
Actually that's really pleased me - quite convinced that I'm bound to kill something off through sheer naivety, which would be a bit sad if I only had one lonely tomato plant!0 -
Finally got my first raspberry cane today :j Half price in Wilko (thanks to lawrie's thread
) £1.49 ~ raspberry polka rubus ideaus. It's in a cardboard box rather than a pot like the £5 one I saw the other day, but it's definitely alive because I did the scratch test
I was tempted to get a loganberry & an evergreen blackberry as well, but wasn't sure if they can be planted in pots?? I'm hoping the raspberry can, but I think it's a Summer variety so don't know??I wish I was more knowledgeable about these things, but I suppose I'm starting to learn.
I have 4 more mint seedlings that have popped their heads up overnight :j
No other sproutings to report.
mbe, how's your pond looking?? Probably hard to tell if your weather has been anything like mine!!'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
I wished I'd have got my parsnip seeds in when the weather was good, instead of waiting.
Now it's far too cold and wet.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

I've done the same.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I've just topped it up to the brim again, to see if it's still losing water. It had been about the same for a couple of days. Rained a lot though. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Want to see my 'greenhouse'?
It's a bit 'bijou'. :rotfl:
Does the job perfectly though.
My seedlings are all growing nicely *touches wood* and all is well in my little world right now. Funny how content you can be, surrounded by little green things.
These shelves go round the 3 window sides.....
Toms look fairly happy I think....
More toms....
The cucumbers that didn't die on me or get nasty white stuff seem ok too....
Cauliflower seems ok...
And parsley & basil.....
Peppers look very small though.....
Family are not loving the greenhouse as much as I am....they want the porch back for their coats/shoes/other rubbish they dump at the door. No chance!Herman - MP for all!0 -
NOOOOOOOOOOoooooo! Too neat!
You've got all matching pots and everything! How about a pic of the garden then, eh?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Lol, that's cos I buy loads of them from Poundstretcher or Tesco when they are on offer. The black shelves were from the garage and the white things on top are shoe racks out the kids rooms.
