Let's just all agree that if he qualified for it he would be the most popular winner of a Darwin award in years, and leave him in his own warped little world. No use quoting the law because he's just like those thieves who break in to houses and want compensation when they get hurt doing so. They know they are in the wrong but still want the law to tell them it's okay and that they are the victims.
Give it up guys. You can't reason with anyone who has narcissistic personality disorder or egocentrism like our special friend Perky.
Leave him to take his medication or he'll get even grumpier. We've already made him get out the red text.0 -

Good point, this troll could do with going on a diet.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0 -
Re-read my post - "and examples ad infintum" Your (or landowner's) loss is zero, therefore a motorist giving you £60 that they don't need to, is bad news.
Now, please have the courtesy to tell us where your car parks are that we might test your legal abilities.Originally Posted by shortcrust

Big words there Alexis, not trying your hand in the medical world are you now.
Web Design, Legal advice and now medical advice - Is there no end to your talents.
Remember, a jack of all trades is a master of none .. stick to what you know.
I am sure we will come across each other again soon, look forward to giving your 'client' who you have prepared a defence for a good seeing to in a county court soon.
I might even let you win one, if I am feeling generous - nah, I know how much getting a victory over me means to you so will not let you have a win by default as you will not appreciate it.0 -
I DIDNT GIVE THAT AS AN EXAMPLE .. I GAVE THIS:
Why is it bad news when a person parks in front of a sign saying if you park here and do not have a permit then it will cost you £60 and the court agrees that they decided to park, could have moved it and not incurred the charge and therefore the court makes them pay.
I dont see how that is bad news.
Because the motorist is being clobbered again perhaps?
£60 is a lot of money to find these days and you basically abuse people. Admittedly £60 isn't as bad as some PPCs but I suspect thats your 'reduced' amount. In this day and age everyone is so busy that unless you have a barrier signs don't get read. You're using that to your advantage to try and make a fast profit. Ever considered posting out a warning notice instead and billing your client for it? - No, because you know you won't make your money.
Admittedly I'm pretty neutral here because I do see a need for PPCs to operate in some places but they certainly don't need to be everywhere.0 -

Point taken - I think he has admirably illustrated how foolish his ploy was and his posts just convince me even more that PPCs are little better than Nigerian bank directors offering me the chance to look after $60m for a few days.....Originally Posted by shortcrust

Yes, he's already getting over-tired as it is. Leave him to his afternoon nap where he can dream of being a barrister in a big boy court.0

Well people SHOULD read signs and these days why would you expect free parking anywhere ?? Surely whenever you park then you should always look for signs.
When driving do you look for the speed limit signs, of course you do - would you ever expect to use the excuse that life is too busy to look for signs so make them bigger.
The vast majority of tickets issued and enforced are for the reasons that people take the chance or dont pay attention - the land owner only has to put up a signs that a resonable person would see and that test is objective.
Regardless of how big the signs were, people would still ignore them and think the rules do not apply for a long list of reasons then bleat on about how unfair it is and use every tactic in the book to escape payment of something that was clearly pointed out.
Some people will never get that - if people wanted PPCs to go out of business then the solution is simple .. be careful where you park and only park where you know you can and in accordance with the signs, if everyone did that then there would be no need to PPCs or any other parking enforcement.0 -
Listen perky cut the garbage, I am in Swansea tell me where your car parks are ? I will promise to appeal and go all the way to the small claims if there is junk mail placed on my screen ! Now I am sure others are willing to do the same.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I don't understand perky, if you're winning so many cases why would you need to spend your time on here telling us that we're all wrong? Strange . . .0
