Second Purse Challenge 2012
Comments
-
Starting to build my stock pile, only 1st week of challenge as didn't quite understand it last week( think I get it now).
Made an inventory yesterday and have stock in a different cupboard with a book to make notes and costings. I have approx £62 stockpile from a £51 spend. Not had anything on bogof yet, think that is where you must see a massive diffrence in prices as cost nothing in the first place.;)
I have no cash so will have to go to the bank and withdraw some so that I can pay 2nd purse as at the moment I have a virtual 1st ad 2nd purse.
Have a great day everyone[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

Hi everyone
Is it OK if I join you?
I have had a second purse since last year after reading motherships posts and found it a really good way of stocking up at the SM when the prices are lower. In December last year any profit made I put towards christmas so started again in January and it is surprising how quickly it takes off.
I went to Mr T this morning and got 2 boxes of shr*ddies for £1 each, normally about £2.08 each and 4 packs of Fl*ra Butt*ry on BOGOF and Whisk*s cat food 48 pack £10.00, I normally pay about £3.49 per box of 12 so just for these items will make a profit of £10.02 (better in my purse then their till)
TraceyOfficially debt free :j0 -

Im taking a guess that your DD is still quite small (under 6 months) is she your first? my DH was rubbish when DS was first born, he really thought I spent all my days watching carppy american tv shows while DS slept all day :rotfl:. I quite often got the 'what have you been doing all day?' snidey comment. So one day I told him exactly what I did from the moment he got up for work, covering a full 24 hours.
Funnily enough when we had DD I had alot of, 'you really must try and sleep when she does' :rotfl: though I will admit its easier the second time round as you already know what you have to do, what is trying to get attention etc and you just dont take anywhere near as much carp from your baby about sleeping, self soothing etc , nor does it upset you as much. With DS when I first started to get him to go to sleep alone I sat outside in tears, I was more heartbroken than he was, but with DD, I chucked her in there and walked off downstairs, she also went through it earlierSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

DS1 was awfully hard work being colicky and me being a single mum in South Africa (his "dad" was a rebound from my DH who needed a kick up the bum to see we were meant to be together and DS1 was the glue.DH came to SA to fetch us two days after DS1's first birthday.
Moving on to DS2 he was hard work to conceive but was a textbook baby-even now he's mostly compliant although h has become quite boistrous and is almost as big as DS1.We planned to have a tubal ligation when we delivered him but the paperwork wasnt done and we only thought to ask when I was being "put back together" (all the babies were cs's because I have cerebral palsy.
You can imagine our shock when he was 9 months old and we discovered another pregnancy-and she is DS1 all over again.0 -
