I have hidden all my stock across 3 cupboards now and have been careful not to stock up on anything that DH likes :rotfl: I do have 6 boxes of DS's cereal but ive stuck them right at the back of the corner cupboard so you cant see them unless you get down on your hands and knees :D DS will happily fill one of those bowls you got free with kell0ggs cereal a while back, with cereal and sit and eat it, when he thinks he's only got 1 box left he's a tiny bit more frugal :rotfl: DH on the other hand will eat me out of house and home . . . its times like these im pleased he doesnt know how the oven works to start using up my eggs/flour/butter baking things :D

I've just had a nosey in my parents freezer and Oh My, I've never, ever seen mince look so good! I know it's frozen but the DR stuff looks awesome! I've not seen mince a crimson red in forever, in fact I don't think ever! Can't wait for Dad to give them a try, even if I can't eat them because of my IBS :( Another one I can't have for IBS is quorn cheese & broccoli escalopes apparently :(
I need to pay my 2nd purse £4 for a toblerone that I bought my sister, ooh and my 20 lt of fab conditioner has arrived :D

My doctor's method for helping my CFS was to treat me for Candida. He has done a lot of research and said he'd rarely found a patient without it. So out of the diet went yeast or any fungus (mushrooms, truffles, anything fermented : cheese, vinegar, wine), plus anything that would feed the yeast (i.e. sugar in it's various forms, though limited lactose and natural fructose seemed to be ok for me). I was by no means cured by following this plan, but certainly noticed a marked improvement. I also stumbled across an online (pdf) book by someone called Dr Mayhill (or Myhill, something like that). May be worth a google search as I found it quite interesting (pretty technical in places so make sure you have the energy before you embark on reading though ;))

I used to get a pill every three months, Difflucan, there was another one , that was to kill off all the yeasts. There was another one I got but I cant remember the name of it. It helped but I had to take acidophilus in pill form, but later changed to live yoghurt culture to repopulate the gut with good bacteria.

Kerri I think you may be ok with DR mince with your IBS, I have that too, and I discovered I reacted violently to supermarket meat. I'm ok with all DR's beef and pork lamb, tried their chicken I'm ok with that too. I find M&S Oakham chicken ok , that is allowed to mature longer than other chickens. The problem with SM meat is they want the stuff on the plate quick so they 'bring on' the animal pumping it full of hormones antibiotics and all sorts. I believe a lot of folks 'health problems are aggravated maybe even caused by eating this fast grown meat'. Not only does it alter the taste but you are consuming all the drugs the poor animals were fed during their life. DR isn't organic but the animals are grass fed. Which makes a big difference to the taste and the stock is allowed to grow naturally.
Its all coming back to me now all all the years of food experiments. When I remember anything I will post it.

Ahhhh! stock piling sweets and favourite cereals, biscuits LOL, is dodgy. They will seek them out and eat them unless...
I put a note on the outside of the fridge saying that there was 2-3 months supply of butter, cereal etc in the kitchen, specified how long each item was expected to last and wrote WARNING in red, that if these were eaten or used up quickly, they will have to do without until (Date). I only ever had to let them 'do without' once, they soon got the message. You could offer to sell them their craved item LOL.

I've not been buying ANYTHING, I'm in a raking in period, and just buying perishables. I could go for at least a year if I had to and use up my stock, but I prefer to buy little top up shops, and keep it at a certain level. I don't pay the 2nd Purse till the end of the month/ beginning of next month. Don't be in a rush for the money to reach the 3rd purse once you have built up a good stock, it will start flowing in fast.

    You are all doing great.

My first sourdough loaf (using the homemade culture) is about to be put in the oven on the baking stone, just waiting for the oven to heat up. Will let you know how I get on.
Bugga! I fell asleep on the sofa and killed my loaf, it smelled amazing LOL, but ye could play football with it LOL. Another one proving now, i will set the timer for this one .

    Hi everyone,

Went to MrT today for my weekly shop. Took my 2nd purse which had a balance of about £25. In the last few days had paid the purse back for olive oil, loo roll, tea bags, rice and cereal so my stockpile was looking a bit on the low side.

Pick up 4 boxes of Tw!nings everyday tea (80's) £2.89 bogof which was better than the 160 PGT!ps for £3, olive oil, mayo, 2 x cereal, another 27 penguins (to add to the 27 I bought on Friday) and (drum roll please) another 18 loo rolls :D. Paid the purse back for a whole chicken that I roasted for dinner tonight, so purse total now back up to £9 with a stockpile of £83.90 ;)

    Hi everyone.

Well I managed to get myself in a proper muddle with all my purses, but I think at last, I've managed to sort it all out. So my signature is updated.

Can't really buy anymore bulk at the moment until I've topped up my second purse a bit more. I'll try for £20 in March but if not it will be £10.

At least there is a tiny amount now appearing in my third purse:j

    Keep going 2nd purse challengers!

Bought some butter today from my shop and done a stock take. So far I have done 2 months and put in 2 lots of £10 so £20 real cash. I have £3.37 in my purse in coins, and stock that i have bought costing £53.34 - just by reinvesting the money from my sales. Shouldn't hopefully be too long before I can justify paying money over into the 3rd purse, but finding it difficult to resist a bargain (only spending what I have obviously but will take longer for 3rd cash if have too much stock).. Everyone is doing great - my oh doesn't get it at all - just sees it as the same money so whats the point but fortunately just lets me get on with it!! Well hopefully I'll show him one of these days........
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
