  • The problem i've got is to stop buying the bargains  I just keep spotting them now and wanting them all even if the second purse doesn't have enough in there  need to stop!!! :rotfl:

:T I think i have been convinced to try this too! Although this month I have already bought the monthly food shop and all the meat so will have to order it at the end of feb, for march! So whoever is next on the list wanting a referral let me know :)

I've just read through all the posts on here about CFS, ME & I can't believe how many have it! 3 people in my family have recently (last 2 years) been diagnosed with fibromalgyia which i'm led to believe is similar? And 2 with M.E :( I myself have been suffering for years with a poor immune system & chronic bouts of tiredness which leave me unable to leave the house for days at a time sometimes the dr's refuse to diagnose me with anything. I have anti d's for the depression and was sent on my merry way, and told to have more sleep in the day if i'm that tired :( all very well with a (then) 1 yr old and a 2 yr old child. Blood tests all came back ok, apart from low white cell count which she reckons won't help with a poor immune system. Low iron & potassium! My aunt has kept her M.E at bay with changing her diet & I am going to try the same with 'whatever' i have...so will be reading with interest to see what stuff you all recommend :)

ooooh sorry long post (again) i really could ramble for a gold medal :rotfl:
Hi you say that your white cell count is low - the white blood cells are a major part of your immune system and if these are low you won't be able to fight off infections effectively. In other words, the low white cell count is one of the main reasons why your immune system is poor. Also if your iron is low, you could possibly be anaemic? If you are anaemic, again your immune system will be affected and also this will make you feel tired. You could possibly try and eat more red meat for iron, bananas for potassium (if you can eat these things) and take a multi vitamin tablet?? The doctor should really be trying to find out why your white cell count and iron levels are low.

I get IBS, as I know a lot of people on this thread seem to have. I have worked out I can't eat bread, anything with yeast, citrus fruits, oats and most other grains, pulses including lentils, cous cous, and I'm not very good with sweet stuff like cakes, milk/white chocolate etc or alcohol. I can eat 75% cocoa chocolate though thank goodness! I seem to eat a lot of rice, potatoes, meat, dairy produce, nuts and loads of vegetables, salad and fruit - then I'm OK and now I hardly seem to get any infections either :) whereas I used to get loads, especially stomach bugs.

jakes mum how are you working your 2nd and 3rd purses?

sorry to hear so many of you are unwell

I buy my bargains from my second purse, when i use them I put back the purchase price to my second purse and put the profit into my 3rd purse. Ive decided not to build up my 2nd purse with profit as 1) I already have £43 in use from it due to bargains ive picked up this month and 2) im very impatient so like to feel im getting somewhere :rotfl:

I have had an occasion of bartering with my store in that I didnt want to put any more money into my 2nd purse this month but had bought oil on special, so I traded the oil for some beans as my kitchen supply was gone :rotfl:

I'm off on the 160 mile trek to Cardiff in a minute, although currently not answering the phone to my OH after he said there's no point him coming to stay for 2 weeks before he goes to Canada for 4 months as I'll be at work. He hasn't taken into account the fact I will be at home for 6hrs in the evening before bed, or that he's not seeing me for 4 months. I'm feeling really hurt.

So... taking 2 creme eggs out of the store at 50p each (paid £2.75 for 12). One for on the way there, one for the way back and going to take a bottle of tap water so will owe the purse 99p as I always buy a bottle for the journey.

I'm not going to be online for much of this weekend, so if you spot a bargain please either post it in bold or update the spreadsheet, preferably the spreadsheet as everyone can see it better then :) Have lovely weekends x

Added a bit more to my store cupboard today, bulk purchase of 12 x disinfectant and 8 x kitchen rolls.

Also added and extra £10 into my second purse from my GC money as the bulk buys were too good to miss and there wasn't enough in my second purse.

I have put my totals in my signature.

    My shop now has

    8 Kitchen Rolls
    11 Disinfectant (bought 1)
    5 Loaves (bought 1)
    60 Dishwasher Tablets
    45 Wash Non Bio Fa*ry

I always keep a fairly good stock cupboard any way and I am running out of space to put everything already....it's in the wardrobe drawers, in the wardrobe cupboards, in the glass cabinet cupboard, the kitchen cupboards are full to bursting. I need to move house:D or build and extension.

    Have a good weekend everyone!
