It's no good aaaaarrrrggggh I can resist the urge no longer on the Donald Russell website, will be placing an order tomorrow
Did someone want to recommend meDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0 -
If you're happy to PM me your name, address and email I can send you a refer a friend if you haven't already created an account with them? That will give you a free postage code
. I'll try their website on my PC shortly & see if I have better luck on there.
Ah Mothership, feel free to rant. I have been there and sometimes it's good to get it out. I've found Holosync works to help me sleep better - I don't meditate with it like you're supposed to, I just listen whilst reading.
When I was sicker I found that Maximol Solution helped a lot - tasted awful, but helped. I don't need the Solution anymore (when it tastes alright you don't need it anymore) but I do take Revenol tablets, they do seem to help some.
You kinda try everything until you you find something that works.Sealed Pot Challenge Member 164

So many of us with M.E
though I do call it my illness of convenience (really upset a girl on another thread saying that as she totally miss understood my meaning and thought I meant we weren't all ill!) I call it that because I feel its a term used for those of us that dont fit any other box
I almost felt like the doc was saying 'hmm well I dont know whats wrong with you so here have an umbrella term and go on your merry way'
I do get annoyed when people say I have CFS as people who dont understand the illness do think im just tired sometimes. I can just about get myself round the c0-op on my feet, or to the bread aisle in my local Waitr0se, not both, so if anyone I used to work with see me they make a point of saying 'oh your looking well, on the mend then?' and I have had to bite back 'actually no, im dying on my feet, im about to go home and collapse into a chair fighting the waves of exhastion nausea, until 4:30 where I will force myself to go make dinner as theres no-one else to do it.
My legs dont work anymore, I have completely random pain which just picks a spot in my body each day without warning, its a complete fluke if I actually fall asleep at a decent time and I can be staring at the ceiling until 4 - 5am sometimes, and even if I do fall asleep its not like your sleep its just going on standby and I get to wake up just as fatigued as when I went to bed and get the joy of trying to still get up an care for my kids in this state. Oh and just to add a bit extra my memory is now so bad I take things out my oven without tea towels because I forget ovens are hot, I cant remember place signs minutes after reading them, have got in my car and forgotten how to drive just to name a few.
I have made my daughter virtually a prisoner in our home as I cant walk from my car to the park, let alone stand and push her on the swings. I cant attend any of my sons sports days as I cant get from my car to the field and would hate to embarass him by turning up in my scooter, so my mum has to book time off work to go in my place. I've missed school plays, parents evenings, show your mum your work evenings and invite your mum to lunch days. So in answer to your question, no im not feeling better, im just doing what I have to to get through the day and trying to explain myself to you has just used up a great big bit of my daily energy allowance that I couldnt afford to lose.'
Right rant overjust been wanting to say that too certain old co-workers for 3 years now
Aww! sweetheart, I know exactly how you feel, I used to get so upset with exactly the same things. So many people think you are faking it because you look ok, the worst offenders were my own family, particularly my oldest daughter, she doesn't speak to me now, she still to this day doesn't realise how ill I was. I went through years of doctors saying it was all in my head 'psychosomatic'. After years of agony, when it finally went away and I went back to one of those Drs and told him that the illness that he thought I imagined had gone away. I think diet was a big factor in it going, but I had to do it myself.
The Spinach and Avocado soup is a good place to start, its an acquired taste for some, and if you can get a copy of the Superfoods book. There is a chapter on fatigue, I used that and one of the other chapters, I will have a look and see what one it was.
Another thing I used to help my concentration was aromatherapy oil, a few drops of Basil oil on a cotton ball (put on a radiator)or in a spray mixed with water works too. You can buy little burners quite cheap.
I got rid of my ME and I know a lot of people who got better, and I've helped a lot of them. For all of you out there who are suffering with it please don't give up hope. I will do everything I can to help. We can quite easily do it alongside the 2nd Purse. In the meantime I'm sending all of you LOVE and LIGHT and big hugs xx1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

The problem I am having is SPENDING out of the Second Purse, because it feels like a safety raft and I am clinging on to it by my finger tips (at least thats how I feel).
The problem i've got is to stop buying the bargains  I just keep spotting them now and wanting them all even if the second purse doesn't have enough in there  need to stop!!! :rotfl:AlwaysHappy wrote: »Just caught up on the thread and would say to anyone wondering if to try the Donald Russell meat to give it a go. I have had my 3rd delivery now and have LOVED everything so far, the quality is superb - would definitely recommend.fozziebeartoo wrote: »I said I would update when I had used my 1st portion of Donald Russell minced steak.
My thoughts so far:-
Hardly any blood came out of it when it was defrosted.
Browned beautifully - cheap mince seems to "grey" not brown
The liquid I poured off after dry frying (not a lot) set into a very tiny amount of fat and the rest set into a jelly - just like REAL meat juices used to!! Cannot say I have had that happen for years. I NEVER bought the cheapy cheap mince, but the liquid that came off it used to remain grey liquid and fat, it never set.
The packets of minced steak are 440g as opposed to my usual 500g but seemed to go further, I always use loads of fresh veggies anyway, but one pack made 3 lasagnes that would feed 2 normal appetites each.
I paid £22 for 8 packs with free P&P so £2.75 per pack.
If I got 6 meals out of a pack, I make that just over 45p per meat portion!!
I say IF because I could eat half a cow on my own and still be looking around for afters:rotfl::o
Now fingers crossed it tastes as good as it looks and smells!
:T I think i have been convinced to try this too! Although this month I have already bought the monthly food shop and all the meat so will have to order it at the end of feb, for march! So whoever is next on the list wanting a referral let me know
I've just read through all the posts on here about CFS, ME & I can't believe how many have it! 3 people in my family have recently (last 2 years) been diagnosed with fibromalgyia which i'm led to believe is similar? And 2 with M.EI myself have been suffering for years with a poor immune system & chronic bouts of tiredness which leave me unable to leave the house for days at a time sometimes the dr's refuse to diagnose me with anything. I have anti d's for the depression and was sent on my merry way, and told to have more sleep in the day if i'm that tired
all very well with a (then) 1 yr old and a 2 yr old child. Blood tests all came back ok, apart from low white cell count which she reckons won't help with a poor immune system. Low iron & potassium! My aunt has kept her M.E at bay with changing her diet & I am going to try the same with 'whatever' i have...so will be reading with interest to see what stuff you all recommend
ooooh sorry long post (again) i really could ramble for a gold medal :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. With regard to tiredness, I get absolutely shattered if I don't eat good food as I've had my thyroid removed. I've found eating proper food, none of this junk food malarchy, and trying to eat as much fruit + veg as possible has really helped as well as not eating as much bread. Although I also switched to eating organic as well, but this is a bit of a pricey lifestyle choice. Not sure if that would help anyone, I guess most have already changed their dietsDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I used my second purse for the first time. 6 squeezy bottles of tate and lyle golden syrup - rrp £1.39 or 2 for a quid! I bought 8 last year when they had the same offer (I guess for pancake day) and we are just down to the last bottle now so perfect! I use a lot of syrup in cooking and the kids love it on their porridge.
I would usually buy smart price but even I have to admit the squeezy bottles are handy and its nicer. I wiill buy it back for £1 a bottle whcih is mid way between sp and the rrp and still gives me 100% profit!
Mmmmmm@ golden syrup!!Which shop was this in please???
